Self-locking internal damper and fuel rail assembly
The present disclosure relates to the field of motor vehicles. The teachings thereof may be embodied in a self-locking internal damper comprising: a damper body with a closed chamber; each of two ends of the closed chamber in the length direction including a straight plate section projecting therefrom, with a center line of the straight plate section passing through a center point of the closed chamber; two connecting portions located at ends of the two straight plate sections, respectively; and at least one of the two connecting portions including a bent structure formed by extending and bending one of the straight plate sections.
Structure of GDI fuel delivery pipe
Disclosed herein is the structure of a GDI fuel delivery pipe. The structure of a GDI fuel delivery pipe includes: a main pipe configured to flow fuel through a hollow formed therein; a plurality of injector cups formed in cylindrical shapes having open lower ends, and configured to be coupled and fastened to the main pipe, to flow fuel therethrough, and to be coupled to respective injectors; a plurality of mount holders configured to form tubular parts each having a bolt hole in a lengthwise direction, and to be coupled and fastened to the main pipe; and fastening members configured to fasten the plurality of injector cups or mount holders to the main pipe by being coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the main pipe at both left and right ends thereof while surrounding the outer circumferences of the plurality of injector cups or mount holders.
Fuel rail and method of making a fuel rail
A forged fuel rail for a motor vehicle includes a tubular base body, an inlet formed in one piece on the base body and made of a same material as the base body. Further formed in one piece on the base body and made of a same material as the base body are a plurality of injector mounts and, a support element for securement of the fuel rail to a further motor vehicle component. A reinforcement member extends between a corresponding one of the injector mounts and the support element and is formed in one piece on the base body and made of a same material as the base body. The reinforcement member is hereby formed from a flash created during a forging process.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING A LIFT PUMP
Methods and systems are provided for operating a lift pump of an engine fuel system. In one example, a method may comprise predicting when a fuel rail pressure will decrease below a threshold assuming that a lift pump remains off. The method may further comprise powering on the lift pump before the fuel rail pressure decreases below to the threshold to prevent fuel rail pressure from decreasing below the threshold.
Cover of an internal combustion engine assembly having a common rail, engine assembly and automotive vehicle including such a cover
A cover for an internal combustion engine assembly that includes a pressurized fuel accumulator feeding fuel to at least one injector is provided, the cover defining, with a cylinder head, a volume designed to receive the common rail and the injector. The cover borders a first sub-volume, designed to receive the injector, and a second sub-volume separated from the first sub-volume by a separation wall of the cover and designed to receive the common rail. The cover includes a frame to be fitted on the cylinder head and a cap removably fitted on the frame. The separation wall is designed for the passage of a fuel connection connecting the injector to the common rail.
End seal structure of a fuel rail for a gasoline direct injection engine
Provided is an end seal structure of a fuel rail for a gasoline direct injection engine, the end seal structure being characterized in that: a pressure receiving surface is formed on an inner wall surface of the end cap having the cap-nut shape, the pressure receiving surface defining a seat surface; a pressing surface is formed at an end of the rail body, the pressing surface defining a seat surface facing the pressure receiving surface; the end cap having the cap-nut shape and including the pressure receiving surface is screwed and fixed to the rail body; and the pressure receiving surface of the end cap is brought into pressure contact with the pressing surface of the rail body by an axial force created by tightening of the end cap having the cap-nut shape so as to seal the end of the rail body.
EFI throttle body with side fuel injectors
An electronic fuel injection throttle body unit has a core body with two side components. The two side components each including a fuel delivery passage. Four air intake passages extending vertically through the throttle body. Valves are rotatable within the air intake passages. The valves being connected to valve shafts that rotate about respective valve shaft axes. The valve shaft axes and the fuel delivery passages are perpendicular to each other.
Fluid valve assembly
A fluid valve assembly having a housing with a valve seat which forms a fluid port. A valve is movable along an axis relative to the port between an open and a closed position. This valve includes a protrusion complementary in shape to, but slightly smaller than, the port. The protrusion is at least partially positioned in the port when the valve is in its closed position at which time a clearance space between the port and the protrusion is sufficiently small to prevent fluid flow through the port. A main spring disposed between the housing and the valve resiliently urges the valve towards its closed position. A second spring is also operatively positioned between the valve and the housing which urges the valve away from the valve seat towards its open position and prevents contact between the valve and the valve seat.
Manufacture of a circuit board and circuit board containing a component
Method for the manufacture of a circuit board containing a component and circuit board containing a component. The invention is based on first manufacturing (101-102 or 101-103) an intermediate product, which contains the insulator layer of the circuit board and the components, which are set in place inside the insulator layer, in such a way that the contact elements of the components face the surface of the intermediate product. After this, the intermediate product is transferred to the circuit-board manufacturing line, on which a suitable number of conducting-pattern layers and, if necessary, insulator layers are manufactured (104) on one or both sides of the intermediate product, in such a way that, when manufacturing the first conducting-pattern layer, the conductor material forms an electrical contact with the contact elements of the components. Alternatively, stages (101-105) can also be performed on a single manufacturing line.
