The damper includes outwardly protruding first barbs formed integrally on one end of the damper and outwardly protruding second barbs formed integrally on an opposed end of the damper. The first barbs and the second barbs each engage the fuel rail inner surface, whereby the damper is located and retained within the fuel rail. The first barbs and the second barbs may be generally triangular in profile and each extend at an acute angle relative to the damper longitudinal axis. In addition, the first barbs and the second barbs are each oriented in the same direction relative to the longitudinal direction, whereby the damper is asymmetric when viewed in side view.
FILTER FOR FUEL INJECTORS

The filter includes a first disc structure and a second disc structure disposed axially spaced apart from the first disc structure. The second disc structure is also disposed parallel to the first disc structure. The filter further includes an intermediate structure extending from the first disc structure to the second disc structure. The intermediate structure includes a first surface and a second surface disposed opposite and parallel to the first surface. The intermediate structure defines a plurality of passages extending from the first surface to the second surface. Each of the plurality of passages is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the filter.

The invention relates to a pump unit for feeding fuel, preferably diesel fuel, to an internal combustion engine, comprising at least one cylinder (14), a piston (15) which is displaceably arranged in the cylinder (14), and a pressure valve (30) for selectively controlling the supply of fuel to the internal combustion engine, wherein the pressure valve (30) has a closure part (38, 46, 51) provided with a cavity (44, 49, 53) that opens to the outside on an end surface (43, 48, 52) facing the piston (15) of the closure part (38, 46, 51).
Fuel pump having improved pumping behavior
The present invention relates to a fuel pump for pumping fuel, comprising a piston (2) and a diaphragm seal element (3), which seals on an inner annular seal seat (4) and an outer annular seal seat (5), wherein the following equation is satisfied: (Ra.sup.2ra.sup.2)/(ri+L).sup.2=ra/ri, where ri is the inner radius of the inner seal seat (4), ra is the inner radius of the outer seal seat (5), Ra is the outer diameter of the piston (2) and L is a difference between an outer radius (Ria) of the inner seal seat (4) and the inner radius (ri) of the inner seal seat (4). The invention further relates to a method for operating a fuel pump.
HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL SUPPLY PUMP PROVIDED WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC INTAKE VALVE
An object of the present invention is to prevent generation of wear at a rod collision portion in an electromagnetic intake valve of a high-pressure fuel supply pump by reducing inclinations of the intake valve and a rod.
A structure of the electromagnetic intake valve of the high-pressure fuel supply pump is configured as follows. A seat portion of an intake valve and a guide portion of a rod are configured as an integral part, and further, a rod guide is made to have a sufficiently long length so that it is possible to perform guide at one portion. Further, the intake valve seat portion and a surface where the rod collides with the intake valve are formed on the same plane.
Liquid pump with cavitation mitigation
A liquid pump applicable in a fuel system such as a common rail fuel system includes a valve assembly having a valve stack with axially aligned components, dead volume, and vapor-distributing flow channels, for cavitation mitigation. An inlet valve meters a flow of liquid into the pump for pressurization by a plurality of reciprocating plungers operated by way of a rotating camshaft.
High-pressure fuel injection pipe with connection head and method of molding connection head
Provided is a high-pressure fuel injection pipe with a connection head which achieves an improvement in outer-surface cleanliness and prevention of a decrease in axial force and fastening strength. The pipe having, at a connection end of a narrow-diameter thick-wall steel pipe having a rust-inhibiting coating applied to an outer surface of the pipe, the connection head composed of a spherically-shaped seat surface, an annular flange, and a conical surface and having an outside peripheral surface forming formed into seat surface in a truncated conical shape or truncated arc shape for a mating seat; and a washer fitting in a neck lower part of the connection head and having a rust-inhibiting coating applied to an outer surface of the washer, wherein a contact part between the neck lower part of the connection head and an end part of the washer has a metal-to-metal contact structure without having the rust-inhibiting coating.
Mecha-hydraulic actuated inlet control valve
The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a fluid control device that includes a housing defining a plunger cavity in fluid communication with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a valve having a shaft having a first end and a second end, and a stopper at the first end configured to block a fluid circuit between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet in a first configuration of the inlet control valve and connect the fluid circuit in a second configuration of the inlet control valve, and a plunger configured for axial movement within the plunger cavity, defining a shaft cavity having an inner wall extending from an enclosed end to an open end in fluid communication with the fluid outlet, and configured to accommodate axial movement of the shaft within the shaft cavity.
PLUNGER PUMP
This plunger pump includes a pressurization chamber that has a tubular inner circumferential wall and a plunger that has a substantially cylindrical outer circumferential surface. The inner circumferential wall has, in a part thereof in a circumferential direction about an axis of the plunger, a suction opening, which communicates with the pressurization chamber and is for introducing a fuel into the pressurization chamber. The inner circumferential wall is formed with an enlarged gap portion having a larger dimension than a dimension, at a position of the suction opening, from the outer circumferential surface of the plunger to an inner circumferential surface of the inner circumferential wall along a radial direction of the plunger, in at least a part of the inner circumferential wall at a position away from the position of the suction opening in the circumferential direction.
