An injector assembly (38) also is provided and has an injector (1) that is received in the sealing cartridge (18).

Fuel injector

A fuel injector (100) for an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The fuel injector is particularly suitable for use as a dual fuel injector, and comprises a generally tubular outer valve needle (130), an inner valve needle (140) slidably received in the outer valve needle (130), and a nozzle body assembly (112) comprising a tip part (120) and a needle guide part (118). The tip part (120) defines a seating region (120f) for the outer valve needle (130), and the needle guide part (118) comprises a guide bore (118e) for slidably receiving the outer valve needle (130). In one embodiment, the tip part (120) and the needle guide part (118) are made from different materials, and a biasing spring (148) for the outer valve needle (130) is housed in the nozzle body assembly (112).

Injector clip

An injector clip includes a lower plate formed to support a fuel injection portion of an injector, a base plate is formed to engage with and support a connection portion of the injector and an engagement support portion elastically supports the lower plate and the base plate to return the fuel injection portion to an original position after being displaced. A spring arm is formed by extending from the base plate to support a fuel inlet portion of the injector. Accordingly the load resulting from fuel injection of a fuel injector is attenuated and p a fuel injection device is prevented from rotating.

High pressure valve

A high pressure valve includes a body on which is fixed an electromagnet, the shell of which has a radial discal part provided with a central hole connecting an internal opposite surface to an external surface. The body is provided with a cylindrical external centring surface and with a radial support surface. The shell is arranged on the body around the centring surface, the external discal surface being in surface contact against the support surface of the body. The coil of the electromagnet is arranged in the tubular space between the body and the shell itself closed by a closure ring. The liquid-tightness between the body and the shell is ensured by a gasket compressed by a wedging washer against the centring surface and against the internal discal surface. The shell is then immobilized on the body by the wedging washer.

SHAFT SEAL

In some embodiments, the injector valves have additional flow holes in the seat face to reduce flow variation, decrease package size and allow for a fast response. In another embodiment, the injector valve has a seat with multiple flow channels leading to a venturi, allowing for a fast response and decreased package size.

Fuel valve for injecting gaseous fuel into a combustion chamber of a self-igniting internal combustion engine and method

A fuel valve includes a housing, a nozzle with nozzle holes opening to a volume inside the nozzle at the front end of the housing, a gaseous fuel inlet port in the housing connected to high pressure gaseous fuel, an axially displaceable valve needle received in a longitudinal bore in the housing, and rests on a valve seat in a closed position and has lift from the valve seat in an open position, the valve seat placed between a fuel chamber and an outlet port, the fuel chamber connected to the fuel inlet port, the outlet port connected to the volume in the nozzle, an actuator system for moving the needle between the closed and open positions, an ignition liquid inlet port connected to high pressure ignition liquid, and a conduit connecting the ignition liquid inlet port to the fuel chamber, the conduit including a fixed flow restriction.

FLEXIBLE METAL SEAL ASSEMBLY
20180187786 · 2018-07-05 · ·

A flexible metal seal assembly for isolating one or more fluids in an operative region of a machine comprises a first flexible metal seal and a second flexible metal seal arranged in series, allowing the additional exertion of a spring bias. The inner surface of the first flexible metal seal is restrainably and hermetically attached to the outer surface of a metallic coupler, while the outer surface of the second flexible metal seal is restrainably and hermetically attached to the inner surface of the metallic coupler. Amongst other applications, the assembly may be used in a valve seal, or in an engine fuel pump, where it serves to isolate lubricating oil from fuel, or one fluid from a region, where one fluid may be present on an actuator that reciprocates within the second flexible metal seal or outside of the first flexible metal seal.
