Filter assembly for fuel injectors
A filter assembly for filtering hydraulic fluid in a hydraulically actuated fuel injector is disclosed. The filter assembly includes a plurality of first rollers and a plurality of second rollers. The first rollers are parallelly disposed one after the other, and define first axes disposed in a first plane. The second rollers are parallelly disposed one after the other, and define second axes disposed in a second plane. The first plane is parallel to the second plane. Further, each second roller is disposed between a consecutively arranged pair of first rollers to define one or more filtration zones for filtering the hydraulic fluid.
FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY HAVING EXTERNAL FILTER AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A fuel injector assembly includes a fuel injector and an annular filter coupled with the fuel injector, the annular filter being snap-fitted with one of a nozzle case or an injector body of the fuel injector and slip-fitted with the other of the nozzle case or the injector body. The annular filter has a perforated wall forming a filtration screen covering an actuation fluid inlet formed in the nozzle case and positioned upstream of the actuation fluid inlet to trap particulates in incoming actuation fluid.
VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR AN INJECTION VALVE AND INJECTION VALVE
A valve assembly for an injection valve includes a valve body that includes a cavity with a fluid inlet portion and a fluid outlet portion. The cavity includes a first portion extending from the fluid inlet portion to a bottom surface and a second portion extending from a central opening in the bottom surface down towards the fluid outlet portion. The valve assembly includes a valve needle axially movable in the cavity. The valve needle includes a shaft and a ball; the ball cooperating with a valve seat to prevent a fluid flow through the fluid outlet portion in a closing position and to release the fluid flow through the fluid outlet portion in further positions. The valve assembly includes a seat body forming the valve seat and a ball guide. The valve assembly includes where a lower particle filter is entirely arranged in the second portion of the cavity.
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP
A body of a high pressure fuel pump is provided with a pumping bore extending along a pumping axis, a cylindrical inlet chamber extending in continuation to the pumping bore, and a fuel inlet channel extending along a second axis making an angle with the pumping axis from an inner opening in the inlet chamber to an outer opening. A debris trap is dug in the outer face.
FILTER FOR FUEL INJECTORS
A filter for filtering hydraulic fluid in a hydraulically actuated fuel injector. The filter includes a first disc structure and a second disc structure disposed axially spaced apart from the first disc structure. The second disc structure is also disposed parallel to the first disc structure. The filter further includes an intermediate structure extending from the first disc structure to the second disc structure. The intermediate structure includes a first surface and a second surface disposed opposite and parallel to the first surface. The intermediate structure defines a plurality of passages extending from the first surface to the second surface. Each of the plurality of passages is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the filter.
Filter assembly for fuel injector
A filter assembly for a fuel injector is provided. The filter assembly includes a first ring. The first ring includes a plurality of first apertures provided along a circumference thereof. The filter assembly also includes a second ring disposed concentrically with respect to the first ring. The second ring includes a plurality of second apertures provided along a circumference thereof. Each of the plurality of second apertures is disposed misaligned with respect to each of the plurality of first apertures respectively. The filter assembly further includes an actuation mechanism operably coupled to the second ring. The actuation mechanism is adapted to selectively rotate the second ring about an axis with respect to the first ring to, at least partially, align each of the plurality of first apertures with respect to each of the plurality of second apertures respectively to provide an unfiltered flow of a fluid through the filter assembly.
Filter assembly and fuel injector
The present disclosure relates to filters in general, and the teachings may be applied to a filter assembly for use in a fuel injector, the fuel injector, and internal combustion engines. A filter assembly may include: a filter element with a frame having an axial end and a tubular filter housing receiving the filter element. The filter housing may have a side wall with a taper supporting the axial end. The taper may have the shape of a conic section with an opening angle of less than 180. The outer circumferential surface of the frame may include a first section in the section of the taper having the shape of a conic section with an opening angle of less than 180.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VENTILATING A FUEL INLET CONNECTION FOR A FUEL INJECTOR
A boot includes an annular body that defines a thru-bore with a thru-bore diameter, and a bore axis. The boot further defines an overall axial length, an exterior, a first axial end, a second axial end, and an aperture that radially extends from the thru-bore to the exterior.
INJECTOR WITH INTEGRATED FILTER
An injector for injecting a fluid. In injector includes a filter for filtering the fluid to be injected. The filter is arranged in a tubular section of the injector. The filter has a sleeve and a filter body. The sleeve holds the filter body in the tubular section. The sleeve has a securing section and a holding section. The securing section is connected to the filter body. The holding section holds the sleeve in the tubular section of the injector. The filter body or parts of the filter body are arranged exclusively within the securing section.
