ELECTRONIC ATOMIZATION DEVICE AND AIR CURTAIN FORMATION STRUCTURE USED BY SAME
An air-curtain forming structure applicable to an electronic vaporization device includes: an airflow channel for delivering vapor; and a first air inlet channel in communication with the airflow channel and for introducing an external airflow into the airflow channel so as to form a blocking airflow between an inner wall of the airflow channel and the vapor.
Intravascular fluid movement devices, systems, and methods of use
Devices for moving blood within a patient, and methods of doing so. The devices can include a pump portion that includes an impeller and a housing around the impeller, as well as a fluid lumen. The impeller can be activated to cause rotation of the impeller and thereby move fluid within the fluid lumen.
ULTRASONIC MIST INHALER
The invention relates to an ultrasonic mist inhaler (100), comprising: —a mouthpiece (1) for inhaling the mist, —a liquid reservoir structure (2) comprising a liquid chamber (21) adapted to receive liquid to be atomized, —a sonication chamber (22) in fluid communication with the liquid chamber (21), wherein at least part of the liquid reservoir structure (2) and the mouthpiece (1) form the sonication chamber (22).
Control Of Fluid Flow During Priming Of A Fluid Flow Circuit
A fluid processing system includes a fluid processing device and a fluid flow circuit. The device includes a pump configured to convey a priming fluid through the circuit. The pressure in a conduit of the circuit is measured while the pump is operated at a particular rate. When the magnitude of the pressure is less than the magnitude of a predetermined pressure at the end of a time interval, the pump is operated at an increased rate. When the magnitude of the pressure is greater than the magnitude of the predetermined pressure at the end of the time interval, the pump is instead operated at a decreased rate. The magnitude of the pressure in the conduit is again compared to the magnitude of the predetermined pressure after the pump has operated at the increased or decreased rate for the time interval to determine how to next adjust the operational rate.
Adjustable stepped cannula
The use of stepped cannulas, wherein a step structure creates a backstop to reduce backflow along the cannula body, is known for convection enhanced delivery of agents to the brain and other structures within an animal. Described herein are novel and improved stepped cannula designs wherein the length of the cannula segment between the step and the dispensing outlet is variable and can be controllably adjusted inside the patient during delivery. This advantageously allows the operator to place the cannula step at the optimal position and deliver agents at one or more positions within the target structure.
Multi-line opposed inlet infusion coupling
An infusion coupling allows administration of IV drugs to a patient through an IV fluid line, and ensures that successive courses of medication are fully passed or flushed from the line to prevent mixing of incompatible drugs in the IV line. The infusion coupling includes a vessel body, and a plurality of branch inlets to receive medication through IV tubing connected to the inlets. The vessel body has a generally cylindrical shape such that each of the branch inlets is in fluidic communication with the interior volume for receiving the IV fluids for transport. The inlets are angled on the body of the infusion coupling. A transverse bar or obstruction extends across an interior diameter of the infusion coupling for disrupting a circular flow that can result in a vortex. Formation of a vortex can retain the infused medication in the infusion coupling and result in mixing with successive medication courses.
VENTILATOR
A ventilator includes a ventilation body, the ventilation body includes a ventilation cavity and an air inlet end and an air outlet end communicating with the ventilation cavity, the ventilation body further includes an annular shell configured to form the ventilation cavity, the annular shell is formed with an annular cavity inside, an air inlet and an air outlet communicating with the annular cavity are disposed on the annular shell, the air outlet is communicated with the annular cavity and the ventilation cavity, the air outlet has a slit shape extending along a circumferential direction of the annular shell and is disposed to be capable to guide gas flows out towards the air outlet end. The ventilator may greatly increase the ventilation volume and the gas pressure, by using the ventilation body as mentioned above.
A DEVICE FOR A RESPIRATION ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to a device for a respiration arrangement. The device comprises a conduit having a first opening connectable to an air/gas source such as a resuscitation bag, and a second opening connectable to a face mask, such that a fluid pathway along a longitudinal direction of the conduit is established from the first opening to the second opening. The device further comprises a flow constriction, arranged in the conduit which upon fluid flow through the conduit results in a pressure difference over the flow constriction, the flow constriction at least partly comprising a laminar flow section, wherein the device further comprises at least one pressure connecting port arranged in pressurized communication with fluid between the flow constriction and the first opening, and wherein the pressure connecting port is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the conduit.
HUMIDIFIER
In the present disclosure, air passing through the inside of a humidifier is readily humidified. The humidifier includes a water chamber having a first circulation opening and a second circulation opening for allowing air to circulate. An outlet baffle that covers at least part of the second circulation opening from below is provided on an inner surface of a top cover of the water chamber. A third circulation opening is formed by the outlet baffle. The direction in which the third circulation opening opens intersects the direction in which the first circulation opening opens. A baffle protrudes from the inner surface of the top cover. The baffle is located on a straight path between the third circulation opening and the first circulation opening and extends in a direction that intersects the straight path.
AROMATHERAPY CONVECTION HEATING CONTROL SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are aspects of portable vaporizers to deliver aliquots of heated air to material in a furnace. The furnace is multipurposed reducing heat loss, air leakage and delays in availability of air aliquots at the proper temperature for use. By dividing the furnace with an air permeable divider and placing material in the chamber a controller selectively providing electrical power to a heating element configured to heat air furnace. Upon application of suction to the fluid passage heated air passes through a divider which shapes the head of the heated plume before the aliquot of air reaches the material. A controller in signal communications with at least one temperature sensor controls the power flow to a heater to control the temperature produced by heating element(s).
