The application also concerns a mold, a production method, and a fuel-injection nozzle.
Fuel distributor rail and method for manufacturing same
A fuel distributor rail for a fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine in motor vehicles, in particular for gasoline engines. The fuel distributor rail comprises a main tube, wherein the main tube has a fuel channel extending in the longitudinal direction of the main tube. The main tube comprises at least two outlet openings, wherein the outlet openings branch off the fuel channel. A connecting element is arranged on the main tube, wherein the connecting element has an attachment wall that rests against the main tube. The connecting element is connected to the main tube in a material bonded manner and comprises at least two connecting pieces. The connecting pieces have a connecting channel each for the fluidic connection of an outlet opening to each injection nozzle.
Fuel rail and method of making a fuel rail
A forged fuel rail for a motor vehicle includes a tubular base body, an inlet formed in one piece on the base body and made of a same material as the base body. Further formed in one piece on the base body and made of a same material as the base body are a plurality of injector mounts and, a support element for securement of the fuel rail to a further motor vehicle component. A reinforcement member extends between a corresponding one of the injector mounts and the support element and is formed in one piece on the base body and made of a same material as the base body. The reinforcement member is hereby formed from a flash created during a forging process.
FLUID PASSAGE DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A fluid passage device including a passage for flowing high-pressure fluid of a predetermined or higher pressure comprises a sac bore cylinder of a metal, which includes therein a closed passage and a branch passage. The closed passage is shaped to extend straightly in a predetermined direction and has a closed top end, and the branch passage is branched off from the closed passage. A top end part of the closed passage at a closed side is defined by a ceiling wall surface, which is perpendicular to the predetermined direction, a passage wall surface, which is parallel to the predetermined direction, and a connecting wall surface, which connects the ceiling wall surface and the passage wall surface.
The connecting wall surface is shaped to curve in a direction to expand the closed passage.
FUEL RAIL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
An objective of the present invention is to provide a fuel rail that can be used at a high fuel pressure of 50 MPa or more, for example, has good engine mountability, and has improved material yield. The present invention is regarding a fuel rail including a main pipe portion 10 extending in a longitudinal direction and a plurality of distribution pipe portions 20a, 20b, 20c, and 20d branching from the main pipe portion in a cross direction, in a fuel supply system in which a fuel compressed by a fuel pump passes through a fuel passage hole of the fuel rail fixed to an engine trough a bracket or a stay, the fuel is supplied to injectors, and the fuel is injected into the engine, the present invention is to cut and form the main pipe portion 10 and the plurality of distribution pipe portions 20a, 20b, 20c, and 20d from a same single-sheet plate 100, the single-sheet plate being a plane plate or a flat plate having an irregular shape in cross section, and to seamlessly configure a main pipe hole 11, distribution pipe holes 21a, 21b, 21c, and 21d, and injector attaching holes 22a, 22b, 22c, and 22d, without joints.
High-pressure fuel pump
The present disclosure relates to fuel systems. Some embodiments of the teachings may include a fuel pump comprising: a pump piston having a longitudinal centerline; a camshaft with at least one cam; a roller tappet arranged between the pump piston and the cam; and a tappet body and a roller rotatably held on the roller tappet. The pump piston and the tappet body may be movement-coupled with regard to movements in directions parallel to the piston longitudinal centerline. The roller may be in contact with the cam. The longitudinal centerline may intersect a geometric axis of rotation of the roller. The tappet body defines a tappet body longitudinal centerline parallel to the piston longitudinal centerline. The tappet body longitudinal centerline, in a projected view oriented parallel to the geometric axis of rotation of the roller, runs with a lateral spacing to the piston longitudinal center line.
