Drug delivery device
A drug delivery device comprising a delivery unit (2) including an internal reservoir (8), a subcutaneous delivery mechanism (6), a pump for pumping liquid from the internal reservoir to the subcutaneous delivery system, and a liquid filling mechanism (12) configured for injecting liquid from an external vial (16) or reservoir into the internal reservoir. The liquid filling mechanism comprises a filling port (14) and a valve mechanism (18) selectively operable to: open a first fluid path (54) extending from the filling port to the internal fluid reservoir and close a second fluid path (56) extending from the internal reservoir to the subcutaneous delivery member, or close the first fluid path and open the second fluid path. The valve mechanism comprises a valve housing (48) fixedly mounted in relation to a housing of the drug delivery device and a valve stem (50) rotatably received within the valve housing, whereby the first fluid path and the second fluid path are selectively operated by the rotational position of the valve stem in relation to the valve housing, such that when the valve stem is in a first position, the first fluid path is open while the second fluid path is closed, and when the valve stem is in a second position, the second fluid path is open while the first fluid path is closed.
Drug delivery device with container access system and related method of assembly
Drug delivery devices and related methods of assembly are disclosed. The drug delivery device may include a container including a wall with an interior surface and a seal member with an end surface. The interior surface of the wall and the end surface of the seal member may define a reservoir filled with a drug. A fluid pathway assembly may be connected to the container and include an overmold member that covers a length of a container access needle and which defines an enclosed space with the seal member. The overmold member may be moveable relative to the seal member to carry the container access needle between a storage position, where a point of the container access needle is disposed exterior to the reservoir, and a delivery position, where the point extends through the end surface of the seal member into the reservoir.
ANGLED SYRINGE PATCH INJECTOR
A method of manufacturing a cartridge is described. An injection needle is inserted into a mold that forms a barrel. The barrel defines an open proximal end, an opposing distal end, an internal reservoir therebetween, and an arm projecting distally from the distal end of the barrel and having a portion bent at a fixed angle. The injection needle is positioned within a portion of the mold configured to form the arm of the barrel, and a terminal needle tip is oriented such that a beveled opening of the needle tip is distally facing. The injection needle is stabilized against movement with a gripping device. The mold is filled with resin to form the barrel around the injection needle. The gripping device is separated from the injection needle upon hardening of the resin.
RESERVOIR FILLING SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRONIC VAPING DEVICE
A reservoir refill system for an electronic vaping device includes a refill container and a reservoir. The refill container contains a pre-vapor formulation. The refill container includes a body, an opening in the body, and a first interlocking ring including at least one groove or at least one protrusion therein. The reservoir is configured to contain a pre-vapor formulation and includes a reservoir body, an opening in the reservoir body, and a second interlocking ring including at least one groove or at least one protrusion therein at an opening of the reservoir. The first interlocking ring is configured to mate with the second interlocking ring so as to release the pre-vapor formulation from the refill container to the reservoir.
Refillable Implantable Device for Delivering a Drug Compound
An implantable and refillable device for delivering a contraceptive agent is provided. The device comprises a reservoir within which the contraceptive agent is capable of being retained, wherein the reservoir defines a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface. A release structure comprising a hydrophobic polymer surrounds at least a portion of the reservoir. The release structure is in communication with the reservoir such that the contraceptive agent can pass from the reservoir through the release structure. A septum is positioned adjacent to the first surface of the reservoir and a backing layer is positioned adjacent to the second surface of the reservoir.
Device for sublingual application of a therapeutic dose of medication in fractions
A sublingual type medication delivery device includes a container body having a predetermined volume of solvent with a spray dispenser attached at one end of the container and at the opposite end of the container is a housing which contains medication to be discharged into the container and mixed with the solvent to form a diluted medication for fractional delivery of the medication over a period of time. The housing can either be a tablet crusher for introducing medicament in solid form into the container or the housing can be a capsule having liquid medicament that is delivered through a needle that pierces the capsule wall.
Substance Delivery Device and Methods
A substance delivery device and methods to promote treatment regimen compliance. A beneficial substance and an addictive substance are administered from a device delivering the substances by a user inhaling vaporized or atomized beneficial substances and addictive substances.
Infusion pump assembly
A fluid connector assembly is disclosed. The fluid connector assembly includes a body portion, a plug portion located on the body portion, the plug portion comprising a fluid path, a tubing, a first end of the tubing fluidly connected to the plug fluid path, a catch feature located on a first end of the body portion and configured to interact with a reservoir, and a latching feature located on a second end of the body portion, the latching feature configured to interact and lock onto the reservoir.
Field-Chargeable Transcutaneous Drug Delivery System
An automatic needle insertion device assists patients who may be uncomfortable with placing the needle themselves and employs a soft outer needle inserted using a rigid stylet, for example, a standard hypodermic needle, which is then removed after the soft needle is placed, greatly reducing irritation. An ambulatory pump can be filled with a variety of drugs and different amounts of drug on demand, for example, using a syringe prior to use.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AN INFUSION PUMP ASSEMBLY
A system for delivery of a volume of infusible fluid. The system includes a controller configured to calculate a trajectory for delivering infusible fluid, the trajectory comprising at least one volume of fluid, and determine a schedule for delivering the at least one volume of fluid according to the trajectory, wherein the schedule comprising an interval and a volume of infusible fluid for delivery. The system also includes a volume sensor assembly for determining the at least one volume of fluid delivered, wherein the controller recalculates the trajectory based on the volume of fluid delivered.
