SELF-CONTAINED FACE MASK SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATIC DROPLET DISPENSER FOR HUMIDIFICATION
Introduced here is a self-contained face mask system with an automated liquid-droplet dispensing mechanism (ADM) for humidification. The enclosure of the self-contained mask system can be comprised of one or more layers of breathable fabric adapted to flexibly conform to the face of a user when worn to form a cavity that is adjacent the nostrils and mouth. The ADM of the face mask system can be comprised of a reservoir in which liquid is stored, a respiratory cycle detector, a timer and controller, and a droplet dispenser that controllably dispenses droplets of the liquid from the reservoir into the cavity for inhalation by the user. The ADM can be contained entirely within the face mask enclosure or supported on the surface of the face mask enclosure such that the self-contained mask system, when worn by a user, can be supported entirely by the head and neck of the user.
PERFUSION DEVICE, ANESTHETIC VAPORIZER, AND ANESTHETIC MACHINE
This disclosure provides a perfusion device, an anesthetic vaporizer, and an anesthetic machine. The anesthetic vaporizer includes a vaporizer body and the perfusion device. A feed port and a tank are provided in the vaporizer body. The perfusion device includes a mounting assembly, an ejector rod assembly, and a valve core assembly that is provided with a liquid inlet channel. The mounting assembly includes a mounting seat that is mounted on the feed port and provided with a hollow structure having an opening at both ends. The valve core assembly is movably mounted on one opening of the hollow structure, and the ejector rod assembly is movably mounted on the other opening of the hollow structure and forms a sealed structure with the mounting assembly. The ejector rod assembly may drive the valve core assembly to move toward the tank, and the liquid inlet channel communicates with the hollow structure.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CLOSING SYRINGE BODIES
The invention relates to a device (IO) for manually inserting a plunger-type stopper into a syringe cylinder, comprising a receptacle (18) designed to hold the syringe cylinder; a tubular barrel (30) designed to accommodate the plunger-type stopper in its interior, a holding device (28) designed to hold the barrel, and a moving device (40, 42, 44, 46, 48) designed to move the plunger-type stopper; the holding device (28) having an actuation portion (34) for moving the barrel (30) relative to the plunger-type stopper. The present invention further relates to a corresponding method.
Refillable Implantable Device for Delivering a Drug Compound
An implantable and refillable device for delivering a drug compound is provided. The device comprises a reservoir within which the drug compound is capable of being retained, wherein the reservoir defines a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface. A release structure comprising a hydrophobic polymer surrounds at least a portion of the reservoir. The release structure is in communication with the reservoir such that the drug compound can pass from the reservoir through the release structure. A septum is positioned adjacent to the first surface of the reservoir and a backing layer is positioned adjacent to the second surface of the reservoir.
Patch-sized fluid delivery systems and methods
A patch-sized fluid delivery device may include a reusable portion and a disposable portion. The disposable portion may include components that come into contact with the fluid, while the reusable portion may include only components that do not come into contact with the fluid. Redundant systems, such as redundant controllers, power sources, motor actuators, and alarms, may be provided. Alternatively or additionally, certain components can be multi-functional, such a microphones and loudspeakers that may be used for both acoustic volume sensing and for other functions and a coil that may be used as both an inductive coupler for a battery recharger and an antenna for a wireless transceiver. Various types of network interfaces may be provided in order to allow for remote control and monitoring of the device.
Instruments and methods for loading cells into implantable devices
Embodiments herein describe tools, instruments and methods for aseptic loading, dispensing and/or delivering cells into an implantable device and aseptically and selectively sealing a device inside a sterile package as well as and storing and preparing for shipment the cell-filled device.
E-CIGARETTE PERSONAL VAPORIZER
A user-replaceable e-liquid reservoir for dispensing e-liquid, the reservoir being inserted into, or otherwise attached to, a portable, personal e-cigarette device and engaging with an electrical or electronic pump fluid transfer system in the device, the device including: an electrical or electronic pump, being configured to transfer e-liquid from the e-liquid reservoir to an atomizing unit in the device, the pump delivering a pre-defined or variable quantity of e-liquid from the reservoir; and in which the reservoir is not user-refillable.
DEVICE FOR SUBCUTANEOUS DELIVERY OF FLUID MEDICAMENT
An improved device delivers a fluid medicament to the subcutaneous tissue of a user. The device is better suited for patients with Parkinson's Disease and other central nervous system disorders, than conventional infusion devices. The device can include a reusable part including a drive component (e.g., motor) and control electronics and a disposable part including a medicament reservoir. Medicament can be evacuated from the medicament reservoir by a plunger assembly that includes a plunger attached to a lead screw that is rotated by a nut, all within the disposable part. The device can be fluidically coupled with the tissue via a flexible cannula. Various embodiments relate to an improved cannula insertion mechanism that delivers the cannula under a force applied by a spring. Various embodiments relate to improved filling of the device, for example, using a vial adapter and an automated filling station.
AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM COMPRISING MOVEABLE CARTRIDGE
An aerosol-generating system is provided, including a housing including an air inlet and an air outlet defining an air flow path therebetween; a heater element; and a cartridge moveably mounted in the housing and reversibly displaceable from a first position to a second position, the cartridge including a moveable plunger, a liquid storage portion configured to hold an aerosol-generating liquid, and an opening configured to deliver the aerosol-generating liquid, wherein the cartridge is further configured to activate release of a portion of the aerosol-generating liquid through the opening, when the cartridge is moved by an airstream created between the air inlet and the air outlet within the housing.
CELL DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHODS OF OPERATION THEREOF
A method of preparing a syringe in connection with a therapeutic treatment is disclosed. The method can include removing a plunger of the syringe from a barrel of the syringe, aligning the barrel in a horizontal orientation, filling a lumen of the barrel with a viscous material through an opening at a proximal end of the barrel, and inserting a plunger tip into the lumen to seal the lumen. The method can also include attaching an implantation device to a hub coupled to the barrel at a distal end of the barrel. The method can also include depressing the plunger until the cell suspension fills the implantation device and a droplet of the cell suspension is expelled from a distal tip of the implantation device.
