Breast pump system
The invention is a wearable breast pump system including a housing shaped at least in part to fit inside a bra and a piezo air-pump. The piezo air-pump is fitted in the housing and forms part of a closed loop system that drives a separate, deformable diaphragm to generate negative air pressure. The diaphragm is removably mounted on a breast shield.
Equipment adaptor assembly and equipment stand
An equipment adaptor assembly and equipment stand is disclosed which generally comprises an adaptor body having a width and a depth, a connector extending from the adaptor body and configured for securement to the equipment, a first brace extending from a first portion of the adaptor body for stabilizing the equipment relative to the adaptor when secured to the connector, and a second brace extending from a second portion of the adaptor body for stabilizing the equipment relative to the adaptor when secured to the connector. The adaptor may be configured to be interchangeably securable to a floor stand and a horizontal support structure while maintaining a level orientation of the equipment relative to horizontal when secured to the adaptor and without rearranging the adaptor.
Dual drainage bag, assemblies, and related methods
Devices used to collect bodily fluids are disclosed. The devices may include a fluid bag and a transformable hanger for mounting the fluid bag to a support structure such as a hospital bed rail. The fluid bag can include a first fluid compartment and a second fluid compartment. The devices may further include a displaceable front cover and a back cover to obscure the bodily fluids from observation.
BLOOD BAG SYSTEM HAVING AN INTERNAL STORAGE SPACE
A blood bag system is provided with a liquid drug bag having an internal storage space in which a liquid drug is stored, and a third tube that is connected to the liquid drug bag and has a flow path therein connected to the storage space. A retention mechanism for separably retaining the liquid drug bag and the third tube is provided between the outer surface of the liquid drug bag and the outer peripheral surface of the third tube. The third tube can thus be inserted together with the liquid drug bag when the liquid drug bag is accommodated in a liquid drug bag pocket of a centrifugal transport device.
BLOOD BAG SYSTEM WITH RETAINING CASSETTE
A blood bag system includes a PPP bag and a liquid drug bag which are accommodated adjacent to each other in pockets of a centrifugal drum of a centrifugal transport device. In addition, the blood bag system includes a retaining portion that retains the PPP bag and the liquid drug bag together, and includes a cassette accommodated in the pockets in a retaining state of the retaining portion. The cassette has a detachment mechanism capable of detaching at least the PPP bag.
Fluid Management Systems and Methods
Fluid management systems are disclosed that include software-controlled, electro-mechanical devices used in combination with single-use or multi-use tubing sets. Functions of the fluid management systems can include fluid pressurization, fluid warming, fluid deficit monitoring (including flow-based and weight-based), suction, fluid collection, and fluid evacuation (including indirect-to-drain and direct-to-drain options). The systems can be configured based on the surgical environment (e.g., operating room or physician office) as well as other user needs and/or preferences.
AUXILIARY FUNCTION CONTROL APPARATUS FOR MEDICAL DEVICES, AND RELATED SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
An apparatus may comprise first and second auxiliary function units each one or more connector interfaces configured to be operably connected to one or more medical devices via mating engagement with one or more transmission lines. The apparatus can further include a user interface overlay panel overlying at least a portion of each of the first auxiliary function unit and the second auxiliary function unit. The user interface overlay panel comprises a user interface control portion operably coupled to each of the first auxiliary function unit and second auxiliary function unit to alter control settings of each auxiliary function unit in response to input at the user interface control portion. The user interface control portion further comprises a first and second user interface control areas arranged to align with the one or more connector interfaces of the respective first and second auxiliary function units.
Multi-function headboard for patient support apparatus
A patient support apparatus comprises a support structure, an articulation system, and a headboard assembly. The support structure comprises a head end, a foot end, a base, and a patient support deck to support a patient between the head end and the foot end. The patient support deck comprises a first section and a second section capable of articulating relative to the first section. The articulation system articulates the second section relative to the first section. The headboard assembly is coupled to the second section to be arranged adjacent to a head of the patient lying on the patient support deck. At least a portion of the headboard assembly articulates with the second section when the second section articulates relative to the first section. The headboard assembly comprises one or more environment controls operable to alter an environment of the patient on the patient support deck.
Manifold for a medical waste collection system
A medical waste collection system for collecting medical waste material, and a manifold for filtering the waste material and/or coupling a suction tube to the system. The system may include a receiver in which the manifold is configured to be inserted in a proximal direction to facilitate an inlet mechanism moving correspondingly in the distal direction. The manifold may include an arm, a spine, a lock element, and/or a catch each having a surface with a relative position in the proximal-to-distal direction. The rim and the catch may be spaced apart by a void, and the rim may be positioned below the catch. The housing may include a body portion, a first leg extending proximally from the body portion, and a second leg spaced apart from the first leg to define the void. The rim may be on the first leg, and the catch may be on the second leg.
High flow therapy device utilizing a non-sealing respiratory interface and related methods
A high flow therapy system for delivering heated and humidified respiratory gas to an airway of a patient, the system including a respiratory gas flow pathway for delivering the respiratory gas to the airway of the patient by way of a non-sealing respiratory interface; wherein flow rate of the pressurized respiratory gas is controlled by a microprocessor.
