INTRAVENOUS FLUID BAG HOLDER
20210361857 · 2021-11-25 ·

An intravenous (IV) fluid bag hanger is described for use in an ambulance or other emergency vehicle. A handle is configured to pivot or rotate between storage and deployed positions. The fluid bag hanger includes a double-sided carabiner. The double-sided carabiner includes a first holding region and a second holding region to hold one or more intravenous fluid bags. The double-sided carabiner forms a hub between the first holding region and the second holding region. An axle of the handle rotates in the hub.

Peritoneal dialysis machine

A peritoneal dialysis machine has at least one mount for fixing one or more sections of a hose set for conducting a dialysis solution from and/or to a patient. A first pivot axle is provided about which the mount can be pivoted from a first position into a second position.

SYRINGE PUMP, AND RELATED METHOD AND SYSTEM

A syringe pump includes a lead screw, a cam, and a grasper. The grasper assembly has first and second graspers arms each having a first end and a second end. The second ends of the first and second grasper arms are configured to engage with the lead screw. The first ends of the first and second grasper arms are configured to engage with the cam such that actuation of the cam toward the grasper assembly causes the second ends of the first and second grasper arms to pivotally approach each other. The second ends of the first and second grasper arms each includes threads to engage the lead screw when the second ends of the first and second grasper arms approach each other. The plunger head coupled to said grasper assembly and operative to drive a plunger of a syringe into a barrel of said syringe.

INTRALUMINAL MEDICAL IMAGING INTERFACE DEVICES AND SYSTEMS

An intraluminal medical imaging interface device includes an arm assembly comprising one or more longitudinal members and one or more joints coupled to the one or more longitudinal members, and a head assembly coupled to a distal portion of the arm assembly and comprising a proximal portion coupled to the distal portion of the arm assembly and a distal portion. The distal portion of the head assembly includes a mechanical coupling and an electrical coupling configured to separably connect to an intraluminal imaging catheter and to transmit electrical signals between a console and the intraluminal imaging catheter. The arm assembly is configured to couple to a surface to maintain the head assembly at a first position and an orientation with respect to a patient without continued support by an operator. Associated devices, systems, and methods are also provided.

Collapsible canister for use with reduced pressure therapy device

A wound fluid collection system includes a canister with a chamber fluidly connected to a wound dressing in a tissue site through an inlet and also fluidly connected to a reduced pressure source through an outlet. At least a portion of the canister is collapsible and yet can be maintained in an extended state when exposed to subatmospheric pressure. The canister is releasably attachable to a supporting member.

Positive pressure ventilation microphone system, nebulizer, and related methods

A non-invasive ventilation voice amplification system includes a microphone module for placement in a non-invasive ventilation mask. The microphone module has a microphone element for detecting a patient's voice and a speaker for projecting the voice. The microphone module connects to a controller module that houses electronics for processing and amplifying the audio signal.

Pediatric Nebulizer Assembly

A pediatric nebulizer assembly includes an oxygen hose and a nebulizer containing a fluid medication. The nebulizer engages the oxygen hose to nebulize the fluid medication into oxygen for delivering outwardly through the outlet. A tee fitting releasably engages the nebulizer to receive the nebulized fluid medication and the oxygen. A mouthpiece is attachable to the tee fitting to receive the nebulized fluid medication and the oxygen for inhalation by a patient. A rifled barrel is attachable to the elbow fitting when the mouthpiece is not attached to the tee fitting to receive the nebulized fluid medication and the oxygen. In this way the rifled barrel enhances delivery to a pediatric patient that may be not be capable of inhaling through the mouthpiece.

Chest drainage systems and methods

A chest drainage system includes a collection device and a fluid pathway configured to extend from the collection device to a patient. A pressure source is configured to selectively provide sub-atmospheric pressure to the fluid pathway. The system is configured to introduce sub-atmospheric pressure from the pressure source at a substantially constant target pressure and at a dynamic pressure that varies from the target pressure. A method is also disclosed for draining a pleural cavity of a patient. The method involves applying dynamic pressure to the pleural cavity of a patient by changing sub-atmospheric pressure applied to the patient such that the patient's pleura moves without any or limited patient activity, thus facilitating removal of loculated fluid from the pleural cavity. The method may involve the use of the chest drain system.

Thermal management system and method for medical devices

A medical device includes a housing, a power supply, a thermally conductive mounting clamp, a heat shield, and at least one fastener. The housing includes a handle. The power supply is disposed within the housing. The thermally conductive mounting clamp is attached to an outer surface of the housing. The heat shield is disposed within the housing adjacent to the power supply. The heat shield is disposed against at least one interior surface of the handle. The at least one fastener passes through at least one opening in the housing and is in thermally conductive contact with the thermally conductive mounting clamp. Heat generated by the power supply is configured to dissipate from the power supply, through the heat shield, through the at least one fastener, and into the thermally conductive mounting clamp.
