DRIVER ASSISTANCE APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A driver assistance apparatus for a vehicle may be provided with Idle Stop and Go (ISG), and the driver assistance apparatus may include: an interface configured to receive information; and a processor. The processor may be configured to: receive, through the interface, driving information of the vehicle; and based on a determination that the vehicle is stopped in a first state in which the ISG is enabled or that the vehicle is stopped in a second state in which a gearshift of the vehicle is engaged in a Park (P) mode and an engine of the vehicle is turned on, perform a stopping operation for the vehicle based on the driving information of the vehicle.
ISG CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CONSTRUCTION MACHINE AND ISG CONTROL METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTION MACHINE
The present disclosure relates to an ISG control system and an ISG control method for a construction machine capable of controlling ISG even in a working state of a construction machine, the ISG control system including: a surrounding environment determinator configured to determine surrounding environment of the construction machine; and a vehicle controller configured to determine whether the construction machine is in a working state or a traveling state based on a determination result from the surrounding environment determinator, wherein the vehicle controller controls an engine based on a preset work ISG condition when it is determined that the construction machine is in the working state, and wherein the vehicle controller controls the engine based on a preset travel ISG condition when it is determined that the construction machine is in the traveling state.
Work machine for lessening damage resulting from an object coming into contact with work portion
A work machine determines, when a request to restart an engine is made, whether or not a reason indicated by stop information stored in a memory is a reason related to locking of the work portion. The machine sets an operation mode of the engine and a work portion to a safe mode if it determines that the reason indicated by the stop information is a reason related to locking of the work portion. The safe mode is an operation mode for lessening damage resulting from causing the engine and the work portion to work during the work portion locked or damage resulting from an object coming into contact with the work portion during the engine and the work portion working.
Construction machine
There is provided a construction machine that draws attention from the surroundings of the machine body when the prime mover is started and that can have the operator reliably confirm the surroundings of the machine body before the prime mover is started. An engine start control section 23 of a main controller 22 inhibits an engine 18 from starting when a key switch 12 is operated while a horn switch 21 is not operated, inhibits the engine 18 from starting when the key switch 12 is operated for the duration until a first set time T1 elapses after the operation of the horn switch 21 has been finished, permits the engine 18 to start in a case the key switch 12 is operated for the duration until a second set time T2 elapses after the first set time T1 has elapsed, and inhibits the engine 18 again from starting when the key switch 12 is operated if the engine 18 is not started for the duration until the second set time T2 elapses.
AN AUTOMOBILE CONTROL SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to an automobile control system and associated automobile, method and computer program. The automobile control system comprising: one or more homologation-relevant subsystems (206, 208, 210); and a processor (204) configured to: configure the one or more homologation-relevant subsystems of an automobile when the automobile is in a non-compliant mode of operation so as not to satisfy a homologation requirement; automatically switch control of the automobile from the non-compliant mode of operation to a compliant mode of operation based on an operating parameter of the automobile; and configure the one or more homologation-relevant subsystems of the automobile when the automobile is in the compliant mode of operation so as to satisfy the homologation requirement. In a particularly relevant configuration, the non-compliant mode of operation is an off-road driving mode and the subsystem is an engine stop-start system.

Vehicle remote engine operation with ambient situation detection
In a case where an engine is started based on a remote operation, a limitation condition for limiting an engine start is tightened or a stop condition after the engine is started is relaxed, as compared to a case where the engine is started based on a switch operation in an occupant cabin. That is, it is difficult to start the engine when the engine is started based on the remote operation, and it is easy to stop the engine when the engine is started based on the remote operation. As a result, it is possible to take more appropriate measures when the engine is started based on the remote operation.
VEHICLE REMOTE START PREVENTION ALERT
A motor vehicle includes at least one camera capturing images of an environment outside of the motor vehicle. A proximity sensor detects an object disposed adjacent to the motor vehicle. An electronic processor receives the images captured by the at least one camera, and receives a proximity signal from the proximity sensor. The proximity signal is indicative of whether an object is disposed adjacent to the motor vehicle. The electronic processor determines, based upon the images captured by the at least one camera and the proximity signal, whether the motor vehicle is disposed within an enclosure. The electronic processor receives an engine start request signal that has been wirelessly transmitted by a user. In response to receiving the engine start request signal, the electronic processor causes the engine start system to start an engine of the motor vehicle when the motor vehicle is not disposed within an enclosure.
Vehicle control apparatus and vehicle equipped with vehicle control apparatus
A vehicle control apparatus includes: a VSA-ECU and an ESB-ECU that perform braking control to apply a braking torque in response to a brake operation by a driver of a host vehicle, and also perform brake holding control to hold the braking torque even when the brake operation is cancelled; and an engine control unit that performs idling stop control to stop driving of an engine that is a drive source of the host vehicle when a stop condition is satisfied, including that a vehicle speed of the host vehicle enters a predetermined low vehicle speed region, and also performs restart control to restart the engine when a predetermined restart condition is satisfied. The engine control unit prohibits execution of the idling stop control during execution of the brake holding control.
