INTERFACE COMPRISING A NASAL SEALING PORTION AND A ROLLING HINGE

An interface for positive pressure therapy includes a mask assembly. The mask assembly comprises a mask seal that is adapted to underlie the nose. The mask seal extends up the lateral sides of the nose. The mask seal has a primary seal below the nose and a secondary seal alongside the nose. The mask seal comprises a rolling hinge that permits one portion of the mask seal to deform relative to another portion of the mask seal. In one configuration, the portion of the mask seal that underlies the nose is configured to deform relative to a lower portion of the mask seal.

INTERFACE SIZING TOOL AND METHOD

A method and apparatus can be used in the selection of correctly sized respiratory interfaces. The method includes the use of light beams to project sizing markers onto a patient's face, which enables the size of the patient's facial features to be measured relative to a set of interface sizes. A sizing apparatus can include a light source and beam splitters that will refract and project the light source into a series of beams that can be aligned on a patient's face in order to measure the features of the patient.

FULL FACE RESPIRATOR MASK

A full face respirator mask includes a ring-shaped frame, a transparent face plate connected to an inner periphery of the frame, an air inlet extending through the face plate, and a cushion integrally molded to the frame and having an abutment portion. The frame has top, bottom, left and right parts. At least one protruding plate extends rearwardly and horizontally from the top part. The at least one protruding plate is embedded in the cushion body to push the abutment portion to abut tightly against the face of a user when the full face respirator mask is positioned on the face of the user.

INJECTION SYSTEM

A smart injection system that promotes patient safety includes, among other things, a smart stem that allows for measuring the location of the injection relative to the patient's face and/or the amount of medication injected into the patient. In addition, the smart stem has medication cartridge verification and injector verification features. The smart stem wirelessly transmits the measure data to a processing system.

Methods, devices, systems, and kits for regulating skin temperature for mammals to induce and/or maintain sleep

A subject's forehead, and underlying pre-frontal cortex may be cooled by positioning a pre-cooled heat transfer pack on the subject's forehead so that the heat transfer pack is in thermal communication with the subject's forehead, the temperature of the pre-cooled heat transfer pack being below 10 Celsius. Thermal communication between the subject's forehead and the heat transfer pack may be maintained for a period of time sufficient to cool the subject's pre-frontal cortex. Cooling of the pre-frontal cortex may slow the metabolic rate of the subject's pre-frontal cortex and/or induce an onset of sleep for the subject.

Applicator with Gradient Supplied Actives and Methods of Making the Same
20200197677 · 2020-06-25 ·

A treatment applicator including an applicator surface arranged to cover at least one target area; and an active agent applied to the applicator surface area for application to the at least one target area, wherein the active agent is applied in a concentration gradient decreasing from a first zone of the at least one target area to a second zone of the at least one target area.

Method of Defining a Treatment Area of an Applicator For Registration with a Condition to Be Treated

An emotional enhancement system for music and film that uses audio and video input to select or generate a stimulation pattern which stimulates the user's face using lights and electrical stimulation directed to certain points on the user's face and head which are believed to induce certain emotions. Using the system, a user's emotional experience of the music or film can be enhanced by inducing emotions in the user coordinated with portions of the music or film. In some embodiments, biometric sensors or cameras and facial tracking software may be used to monitor the emotions displayed by a user while listening to music or watching films, and adjust the stimulation accordingly.

METHOD OF RESHAPING A BODY PART
20200179730 · 2020-06-11 ·

A method of reshaping a body part including the step of injecting a quantity of filler material into a subperiosteal plane of a facial region thereby depositing a body of filler between the periosteum and bone of the facial region. The method includes the step of piercing a periosteum of the facial region with a syringe. The method includes the step of drawing backwards a plunger of the syringe to ascertain whether a tip of a needle of the syringe is within a blood vessel. The filler may include a hyaluronic acid gel. The method of reshaping a body part includes the step of applying pressure to the body of filler to adjust a shape of the body of filler. The step of injecting is repeated in the following order of priority: first the temporal line of fusion, second the zygoma, third the malar, and fourth the jaw line.
