Control apparatus and control method for diesel engine

A control apparatus for a diesel engine includes a neighboring temperature estimating section which estimates a temperature of a neighborhood of a glow plug that heats an interior of a cylinder upon startup, and a supercharging pressure control section which controls a supercharging pressure in such a way that a rotation fluctuation of the engine does not increase, on the basis of the estimated temperature of the neighborhood of the glow plug.

Combustion control device for internal combustion engine

Based on respective signals from the combustion pressure sensor and a crank angle sensor, heat generation amount data in which a heat generation amount and a crank angle are related to each other is generated, and an estimated heat generation amount is calculated based on a fuel amount in the combustion cycle. When a final value of a heat generation amount in the combustion cycle is smaller than the estimated heat generation amount, the combustion state parameter is calculated based on the heat generation amount data to a crank angle corresponding to the final value of the heat generation amount. When the final value of the heat generation amount is equal to or larger than the estimated heat generation amount, the combustion state parameter is calculated based on the heat generation amount data to a crank angle at which the heat generation amount reaches the estimated heat generation amount.

Connector for a diesel engine glow plug

A connector for connecting an electrical conductor to a glow plug of a diesel engine comprises an electrical receptacle terminal, a housing capable of receiving a terminal portion of the glow plug, and a bushing slidably mounted around the housing by engagement of a longitudinal guide rib disposed on an outer surface of the housing in a longitudinal guide groove disposed on an inner surface of the bushing. The housing has a substantially cylindrical tubular body containing the electrical receptacle terminal with an end opening defined by a pair of elastically deformable axial arms capable of engaging the terminal portion. The bushing is movable with respect to the housing from a pre-locking position to a locking position only when the housing is in a correctly mounted position on the terminal portion.

Control device for hybrid vehicle

A control device is configured to, in a case that an internal combustion engine is made to start up before travel start of a vehicle in a parked state, when an auxiliary battery has at least a predetermined value of battery voltage, make the internal combustion engine start up after executing fuel heating processing for heating fuel by glow plugs to which electric power is transmitted, or when the battery voltage of the auxiliary battery is less than the predetermined value, execute the fuel heating processing after executing charge processing for charging the auxiliary battery using a main battery and then start up the internal combustion engine.

Ceramic heater and glow plug

A ceramic heater includes a substrate containing a ceramic, and a resistor containing another ceramic and embedded in the substrate. The resistor includes two lead portions, a joint portion that connects the two lead portions, an electrode portion formed integrally with at least one lead portion, having one end portion connected to the one lead portion, extending in a direction crossing an axis of the one lead portion, and having the other end portion exposed at the surface of the substrate. In a cross section of the electrode portion taken along an imaginary plane passing through the axis of the one lead portion and parallel to an extending direction of the electrode portion, 0.1A/B0.8 is satisfied, where A is the length of the other end portion parallel to the axis, and B is the length of the one end portion parallel to the axis.
