ORIFICE IRRIGATION DEVICE
An orifice irrigation device includes a tubular component having a distal end and a proximal end and at least one bore axially extending from the proximal end to the distal end, the bore terminating at a plurality of orifices which extend at an angle from the bore; one or more flared wings coaxially positioned with respect to the tubular component, the at least one flared wing having a rim at its distal end; and one or more open flushing channels defined by the one or more flared wings, the flushing channels being defined by the side edges of the one or more flared wings.
Ultraportable and Adjustable Nose, Ear, and Wound Aspirator and Irrigator Device and Related Methods
An aspiration and irrigation ultraportable device is disclosed. The device is configured to aspirate and irrigate alone or sequentially. The device comprises a digitally adjustable dry/wet vacuum and a spray/irrigator assembly that is powered by rechargeable batteries. The device has at least one easily disposable and cleanable aspirant/irrigant reservoir. The present invention relates to the field of medicine specially related to outpatient and in-home settings of aspiration and irrigation of nose, ear, open wounds, and other body fluids.
MICRONEEDLES TO DELIVER THERAPEUTIC AGENT ACROSS MEMBRANES
The disclosed subject matter relates to a system and method for delivery of therapeutic agents across membranes such as to the inner ear. The system includes a plurality of microneedles that can be delivered to the round window membrane by a delivery device, e.g. catheter, and is capable of controlled penetration of the round window membrane to create temporary and self-closing perforations.
EAR IRRIGATING DEVICE
A device including a water reservoir, in which water reservoir is configured to be operable for storing water. A head portion, in which the head portion contains an ear irrigation tip, a top tubing that is configured to be operable for directing water from the water reservoir to the ear irrigation tip, a wash basin, wherein the wash basin is operable for catching water coming out of the ear irrigation tip, and a splash disk, wherein the splash disk is configured to be operable for redirecting the water and/or debris into the water basin. A main body, in which the main body contains a control interface, wherein the control interface is configured to change a flow rate of the water being pumped out of the ear irrigation tip.
Sound enrichment for the relief of tinnitus
A sound enrichment system for provision of tinnitus relief, the sound enrichment system includes a noise generator, at least one signal modulator for random or pseudo-random modulation of a noise signal that is obtained using the noise generator, and an output transducer for conversion of the modulated noise signal to an acoustic signal for presentation to a user. A method of providing a noise enriched sound signal for provision of relief of tinnitus includes generating a randomly or pseudo-randomly modulated noise signal, generating an acoustic noise signal using the modulated noise signal, and presenting the acoustic noise signal to a tinnitus suffering person.
TREATMENT OF THE EAR
Presented herein are implantable systems and methods for long-term delivery of treatment substance to a recipient.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR MODULATION OF INTEGRATED NEURAL NETWORKS TO INFLUENCE COMPOSITE SENSORY PROCESSES
Methods and apparatuses are described for modulating multiple integrated neural networks to alter composite sensory processes, such as audition or hearing. These methods and apparatuses may be used for therapeutic and non-therapeutic uses, including enhancing entertainment and communication, by providing a cranio-cervical tuning apparatus worn in or around the outer ear or auricle. These methods and apparatuses may include functional neurosensory bias for neurosensory scrambling neuromodulation to influence composite or multi-modal sensory processes.
ANTI-KINK AND ERGONOMIC NASAL CANNULA DEVICE
A nasal cannula device according to various embodiments can include a flexible tube, an anti-kink device, and an ear protection device. The anti-kink devices may be attached to or integral with the distal end of the flexible tube that connects to a connection adapter, so that the anti-kink device provides support to the flexible tube to prevent kinking of the flexible tube. The ear protection device may be attached to or integral with a portion of the flexible tube that contacts a user's ear. The ear protection device comprises a soft material to mitigate skin irritation of the user's ear.
Attachment For a Device for Delivering Fluid into an Ear Canal
An attachment for a device for generating an airflow or for dispensing a fluid, which attachment is adapted to be inserted at least in sections into an external ear canal of a human or animal ear. The attachment has a connecting piece for connecting the attachment to the device for generating an airflow, and has a guide vane of tongue-like design with a guide vane base for guiding air flowing out of the device for generating an airflow via the connecting piece.
Angular cap for dispensing liquids
A cap and container assembly is disclosed which may be used for human body cavity irrigation or other liquid dispensing activities. The cap may include a first channel extending from a base through a neck portion to an opening in a tip portion of the cap. A side body defining a second channel may extend from the first channel near the neck portion of the cap to an opening at a distal end of the side body. An axial dimension of the tip portion may extend at an angle relative to an axial dimension of the neck portion. Liquid may flow out of the first channel under the influence of gravity and as a result of control of air flow into the second channel.
