A river, tidal, wave or ocean current turbine harnesses a predetermined minimum/maximum or baseload value of hydrokinetic energy from variable water flow. A wind turbine for generating electricity may follow similar principles. A harnessing module may consist of a waterwheel and a generator or a waterwheel alone. A harnessing module harnesses wind or water renewable energy and may be preferably connected to a land module of rotational speed control electrical and mechanical apparatus through a flexible electrical cable. Received variable electrical input from harnessing module is converted to a constant electrical frequency by a connected generator feeding a grid, for example, using the Hummingbird speed converter. The received variable electrical load power may be mechanically corrected by feedback to the Kingfisher converter while feedforward control of an output generator to output constant frequency may be provided using a voltage regulator, a variable voltage transformer and a control motor. The electrical input receiving land module may process multiple inputs from any types of harnessing modules including wind and water turbines.

Floating wind-wave integrated power generation system

The present invention relates generally to the offshore renewable energy utilization technology. A novel floating wind-wave integrated power generation system is based on the braceless semi-submersible floating wind turbine concept and the oscillating water column (OWC) wave energy generator. The integrated system includes the offshore wind energy system and the oscillating water column wave energy system. The novel floating wind-wave integrated power generation system transfers the rise and fall movement of the water column into the air in and out movement which is converted into the electricity by the air turbine generator. This invention makes good use of pontoons at of the semi-floating platform and the mooring lines. Since the wave energy system will move with the wave movement, which will reduce the power generation efficiency. The pontoon can help to mitigate this movement. The mooring system can further prevent the movement of the wave energy device. This invention uses the braceless structure, which simplifies the construction process and reduce the fatigue issues for the braces. Compared with the traditional three columns semi-submersible wind turbine, this invention enlarges the water plane area. The moment of inertia for hydrostatic stability is enhanced, and the stability of the floating foundation is improved.

The present invention teaches a tower for hydropower, comprising a main structure comprising an outflow tank at a top end and a collection tank at a bottom end of the main structure; a transmission device configured in the main structure; a plurality of water basins configured on the transmission device;

and a generator device is coupled to the transmission device. Water is introduced into an outflow tank, and then into water basins so that the water basins are pulled downward by gravity so as to convert potential energy into kinetic energy that drives a transmission device and a generator device to produce electrical energy. Through this simple tower, a limited amount of water is used for electricity generation of enhanced efficiency, with fast initiation and low operating reserve.

Hydroenergetic Motor

Hydroenergetic motor is the energy converter intended to transform the hydropotential energy into the mechanical work in the form of the torque in such a way that the force of the pressure of the column of the liquid, acting on the ball (Kr) in the nozzle (S) achieves the movement of the chain (VK) with the balls (Kr) first, which is then transferred to the wheel (K) of the device. Due to the fact that the wheel (K) is not in direct contact with the fluid, and whereas, at the same time, the hydroenergetic motor according to the invention can also generate a torque with small and uneven flows, it can be used where the use of conventional hydroelectric converters is not appropriate due to the specific characteristics of the working liquids and specific hydrodynamic flow parameters, for example in sewage systems, in order to exploit the hydro-potential energy of the waste liquid of the sewage system. In those systems the use of a hydroenergetic motor according to the invention is preferred. The installation of the hydroenergetic motor with the purpose of exploiting hydropotential energy of the waste sewage fluid flowing through either one or more building objects may be done at any location in the sewer system in a way that the generator producing electricity is attached to the wheel (K). During operation, the hydroenergetic motor does not emit any byproducts into the environment and this actually makes the hydroenergetic motor the renewable source of energy.

BOTTOMLESS-CUP TYPE WATER POWER CONVERSION DEVICE UTILIZING FLOWING WATER ENERGY

An underwater device for water power conversion includes multiple cups, each cup constituted by a bottomless cup member and a bottom plate fitted pivotally in a freely rotatable manner, wherein the bottomless cup member blocks flowing water in a standing state and makes flowing water pass through in a lying down state, generating flowing water resistance difference between the two states. The cups are installed in a continuous member of a waterwheel submerged in flowing water so that the cup stands in a forward advance path and lies down in a reverse advance path. A water blocking plate is also provided in the reverse advance path so as to utilize centrifugal force to turn the bottomless cup member from the lying down state to the standing state, thereby making the cup turn or circulate continuously in flowing water.
