Systems include a plurality of electrodes configured to be coupled to a brain of a user and configured to obtain a plurality of measurements from the brain of the user, and an interface configured to obtain the plurality of measurements from at least the plurality of electrodes. Systems also include a processing device comprising one or more processors configured to generate a first target sleep profile for the user based, at least in part, on the plurality of measurements and a plurality of biomarkers, the processing device being further configured to generate a plurality of stimulus parameters based, at least in part, on the target profile.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SELECTIVE AUTO-RETROPERFUSION ALONG WITH REGIONAL MILD HYPOTHERMIA
Systems and methods for selective auto-retroperfusion along with regional mild hypothermia. In at least one embodiment of a system for providing a retroperfusion therapy to a venous vessel of the present disclosure, the system comprises a catheter for controlling blood perfusion pressure, the catheter comprising a body having a proximal open end, a distal end, a lumen extending between the proximal open end and the distal end, and a plurality of orifices disposed thereon, each of the orifices in fluid communication with the lumen, and at least one expandable balloon, each of the at least one expandable balloons coupled with the body, having an interior that is in fluid communication with the lumen, and adapted to move between an expanded configuration and a deflated configuration, and a flow unit for regulating the flow and pressure of a bodily fluid, and a regional hypothermia system operably coupled to the catheter, the regional hypothermia system operable to reduce and/or regulate a temperature of the bodily fluid flowing therethrough.
CATHETER ASSEMBLY FOR BLOOD CLOTS REMOVAL
An extension catheter is introduced through the guide catheter and inserted into the treatment area, The extension catheter may have an expandable tip. A suction pump is coupled to the proximal end of the guide catheter to aspirate blood clots or other issue from the treatment location outside the body.
Therapy program modification based on a therapy field model
Techniques for modeling therapy fields for therapy delivered by medical devices are described. Each therapy field model is based on a set of therapy parameters and represents where therapy will propagate from the therapy system delivering therapy according to the set of therapy parameters. Therapy field models may be useful in guiding the modification of therapy parameters. As one example, a processor compares an algorithmic model of a therapy field to a reference therapy field and adjusts at least one therapy parameter based on the comparison. As another example, a processor adjusts at least one therapy parameter to increase an operating efficiency of the therapy system while substantially maintaining the modeled therapy field.
Guiding Tube for Stimulation Leads
The present invention relates to a guiding tube for stimulation leads, comprising a longitudinal, dimensionally stable tubular body enclosing an inner channel adapted to receive a stimulation lead, wherein at least one section of an otherwise electrically insulated inner surface of the tubular body has electroconductive properties. The present invention further relates to a corresponding stimulation lead placing system comprising such guiding tube, and to a corresponding computer program for placing a stimulation lead, utilizing such guiding tube.
ASPIRATION CATHETER SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
Described are methods, systems, devices for facilitation of intraluminal medical procedures within the neurovasculature. A catheter advancement device includes a flexible elongate body having a proximal end, a distal end, and a single lumen extending therebetween. The flexible elongate body has a proximal segment, an intermediate segment, and a tip segment. The proximal segment includes a hypotube coated with a polymer. The intermediate segment includes an unreinforced polymer having a durometer of no more than 72 D. The tip segment is formed of a polymer different from the intermediate segment and has a durometer of no more than about 35 D and a length of at least 5 cm. The tip segment has a tapered portion that tapers distally from a first outer diameter to a second outer diameter over a length of between 1 and 3 CM.
Systems and methods for preventing, mitigating, and/or treating dementia
Devices, systems, and methods for a treating dementia or Alzheimer's disease in a subject in need thereof. In one example, combined auditory and visual stimuli having a frequency of about 20 Hz to about 60 Hz, and more specifically about 40 Hz, are non-invasively delivered to the subject to induce synchronized gamma oscillations in at least one brain region of the subject. In particular, pursuant to various treatment and exposure protocols, combined auditory and visual stimulation (as opposed to auditory or visual stimulation alone) promotes a microglia response in the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC). More generally, combined auditory and visual stimulation induces an extended microglia clustering response in the auditory cortex, the visual cortex, and the mPFC.
Resonating device and method of individual EEG cognitive frequency, recording medium for performing the method
Provided is a method for enhancing cognitive function based on individual cognitive frequency resonance that intentionally and selectively enhances a specific cognitive function by resonating with brain waves through brain stimulation using an electric current of the same frequency or waveform as individual cognitive frequency generated during a cognitive task, and the method includes executing, by a subject, a cognitive task.
