CATHETER
A catheter having a tubular body including a lumen communicating from a proximal end to a distal end and in which a braided reinforcement body is embedded, and an operation unit disposed on a proximal side of the tubular body. The reinforcement body includes a plurality of first wire filaments helically wound in a first direction of a circumferential direction, toward a distal end direction of the tubular body, and a plurality of second wire filaments intersecting with the first wire filaments and helically wound in a second direction, which is a direction opposite to the first direction. At least one of the first wire filaments is a thick wire filament having a cross section larger than a cross section of a largest second wire filament.
INTRADIALYTIC MONITORING OF HEMODYNAMIC STATUS BASED ON DETECTION OF OXYGEN SIGNATURE PHASE SHIFT
A hemodialysis system includes: a hemodialysis machine configured to provide hemodialysis treatment to a patient, wherein the hemodialysis treatment includes circulating extracorporeal blood of the patient through an extracorporeal blood circuit; a first oxygen saturation sensor device configured to measure oxygen saturation corresponding to the extracorporeal blood of the patient in the extracorporeal blood circuit; a second oxygen saturation sensor device configured to measure oxygen saturation corresponding to blood flowing within the patient; and at least one controller configured to determine one or more oxygen saturation phase shift (OSPS) values or one or more transcutaneous travel time values corresponding to the patient based on oxygen saturation measurements from the first oxygen saturation sensor device and the second oxygen saturation sensor device.
Blood Flow Assist Device
A blood flow assist device includes a flexible sleeve, at least one blood flow stimulator incorporated into the sleeve, and an actuator assembly coupled to the blood flow stimulator. The sleeve has a first portion configured to receive at least a portion of a arm and a second portion configured to engage a portion of a hand. The first and second portions of the sleeve properly position each blood flow stimulator on the arm. The actuator assembly individually controls and selectively actuates each blood flow stimulator to apply a stimulus to the arm to control blood flow through a vein in the arm or hand having a vein access device connected thereto. The blood flow assist device may be paired with a blood processing device, with a controller of the blood processing device controlling the actuator assembly based on a pressure and/or flow rate of blood into the blood processing device.
Clothing for self-stimulatory action ("stim") and related methods
Disclosed is clothing subtly outfitted with tactile stimulation objects to provide stress relief and relaxation to individuals who are Autistic or suffer from a stress or anxiety disorder. The tactile stimulation objects come in the form of packaged objects sewn into different areas on the clothing.
Transradial sheath support and hemostasis device and method
The invention includes a transradial introducer sheath support and integral hemostasis device. The device includes a wristband and an introducer sheath support mount attached to the wristband. The wristband is made from a flexible and resilient material that is applied to the distal forearm of the patient or other desired location on the patient. The support mount may be a molded unitary structure, such as made from a thermoplastic material, and is attached directly to the outer surface of the wristband. An inflatable hemostatic element is incorporated in the wristband and mounted to an interior surface of the wristband. The hemostatic element may be selectively inflated to apply pressure to a radial access point of the patient during and after removal of the transradial introducer sheath from the patient. Another embodiment provides a hemostatic element by a rotatable clasp of the sheath support mount.
Skin therapy systems
The disclosed invention provides a skin therapy system for skin conditioning or treatment of a body part. The skin therapy system includes a body part shaped encaser including a first and second film substrate and an encaser liner disposed between the first and second film substrates. An outer peripheral edge of the encaser liner is sealed between outer peripheral edges of the first and second film substrates to create a hermetic seal forming a first fillable space between the first film substrate and a first layer of the encaser liner, a second fillable space between the second film substrate and a second layer of the encaser liner, and an internal volume defined by the first and second layers of the encaser liner and disposed between the first and second fillable spaces. The skin therapy system further includes a therapeutic composition contained within the first and second fillable spaces.
Sleep monitoring and sleep aid usage
A method or apparatus to improve sleep aid efficacy is described. The method comprises monitoring the sleeping patterns of a user utilizing a non-intrusive sleep monitoring device. The method further correlates the user's sleep quality and sleep quantity with use of the sleep aid. In one embodiment, the method adjusts the sleep aid based on the sleep statistics.
BLOOD FLOW ASSISTING PORTABLE ARM SUPPORT
A portable arm support can be secured to an arm of a patient, for instance during a medical procedure (e.g., filtration of blood of the patient). The arm support can inhibit movement of the arm of the patient in one or more degrees of freedom (e.g., elevation, abduction, adduction, flexion, or the like). In some examples, the arm support includes a cuff and abase. In another example, the arm support includes an elongated member. In yet another example, the arm support includes a constricting band. The arm support can help maintain blood flow in the arm of the patient, and can help protect a catheter inserted into the arm of the patient (or protect other medical equipment proximate to the patient).
Irrigation fluid containment systems
Various irrigation fluid containment systems and components are disclosed. In some embodiments, the irrigation fluid containment system comprises a medical kit and/or an irrigation kit. In some embodiments, the irrigation fluid containment system comprises a medical basin and/or an irrigation basin. In some embodiments, the irrigation fluid containment system comprises an irrigation shield. In some embodiments, the irrigation fluid containment system comprises a suction hose.
PROTECTIVE SLEEVE FOR FINGERS AND TOES
A digit protection assembly includes an outer shell that includes a moisture repellant material. A strap is operably coupled to the outer shell. The strap includes a fastener that is operably coupled to an attachment end of the strap. An inner liner is operably coupled to the outer shell and defines a pocket between the inner liner and the outer shell. The inner liner includes an absorbent material. A medication is disposed on the inner liner. The medication comprises cannabidiol oil.
