Wind turbine and triboelectric sheet based energy harvesting system for moving vehicle
A transportation vehicle may be equipped with electrical energy harvesting systems to harvest electrical energy for use. By way of example, in the transportation vehicle, a Venturi system may be used to receive an air flow and the speed of the air flow increase in a constricted area of the Venturi system, the air flow containing a large amount of kinetic energy. A plurality of electrical energy harvesting systems is disposed in the Venturi system and is configured to convert the kinetic energy contained in the accelerated air flow into electrical energy that can be used to power on-board electronics as well as one or more on-board batteries in the transportation vehicle, as the transportation vehicle is in motion.
WIND, WAVE, AND WATER POWER GENERATION SYSTEM
A power generation system includes a flotation assembly configured to float in water and a first harnessing assembly coupled to the flotation assembly and disposed in an airflow above the water. The first harnessing assembly is configured to harness the airflow to create a first rotational energy. The system also includes a second harnessing assembly coupled to the flotation assembly and disposed in the water. The second rotational assembly is configured to harness movement of the water to create a second rotational energy. The flotation assembly also includes a generating module to convert the first and second rotational energies into electrical energy.
TURBINE SYSTEM WITH LIFT-PRODUCING BLADES
A fluid and wind turbine system suitable for horizontal or vertical axis applications comprising (i) blades radially spaced around a rotational axis attached to a shaft by mounting formations so that the length axis of the mounting formations are substantially parallel to the width axis of the blades which mounting formations suspend the blades from the rotational axis creating a passageway allowing the air flow to pass through the turbine and impart a unidirectional rotational force to the shaft at all times the blades are exposed to the air flow on both the windward and leeward sides of the rotational axis (ii) an air flow director which shields the rotating blades from the air flow for a portion of their 360-degree rotation.
Energy harvesting from moving fluids using mass displacement
Energy is harvesting from fluids with different densities, such as water (34) and air (38) with a rotor (12) that is selectively above and below a water surface (30). The rotor (12) has cavities (31,32) inside tubes (18) with apertures (24) in walls (22) of the tubes (18). In a submerged mode, with the rotor (12) in the water (34), air is trapped in tubes (18) on one side of the rotor (12), which has apertures (24) facing down and air is released from the tubes (18) on the opposite side of the rotor (12), which has apertures (24) facing up. The opposite happens in an elevated mode.
Airflow power generating apparatus
Electric and hydrogen technology automobiles and vehicles such as trucks, buses, ships and boats are believed to be the future of transportation; however for the time being, the problems surrounding the technologies are significant and have kept the consumers away for various reasons including the capacity of batteries and fuel cells, the lack of filling stations, and most of all the limited distance the vehicles can travel without a recharge, which for small electric vehicles can take up to 20 minutes before they can continue to travel with a full battery or fuel cell. Commercial vehicles in particular; cannot take the time to stop frequently and worst yet take the significant amount of time that it would take to recharge their systems. Hybrid vehicles still rely on gasoline which is available to increase the travel distance, but customers concerned for the environment have not yet embraced the solution and larger vehicles such as commercial trucks are not about to take the risk of being left out without fuel under any circumstances. This current invention “Airflow Power Generating Apparatus’ is for use in present and future electric and hydrogen technology vehicles and solves the challenges present today as it provides a system to charge batteries and fuel cells while the vehicle is moving forward. This system will extend the distance vehicles can travel or may eliminate completely the need to recharge batteries of fuel cells at homes or at charge stations.
