Auto-injector devices to facilitate perispinal delivery of biologics and drugs
An autoinjector device and a method of use thereof for perispinal administration, comprising: a housing with an interspinous stop; a syringe assembly slidably mounted on the housing, the syringe assembly including a needle and a fluid container, an autoinjector actuator for urging the syringe assembly with respect to the housing from a storage position to a launch position wherein the needle travels through the interspinous stop; and a cap releasably engaged to the housing.
POST-OPERATIVE SURGICAL SITE WOUND TREATMENT AND METHOD FOR DEVICE REMOVAL
A device and method for treatment of post-operative surgical site wounds. The device includes a housing, a spool configured to rotate relative to the housing, and a catheter coupled to the spool. Rotating the spool in one direction winds the catheter about a column disposed on the spool, and enables the catheter to be retracted from the closed wound. In some embodiments, the device further includes a wound dressing disposed about a distal end of the catheter. In some embodiments, retracting the catheter from a closed wound enables a wound dressing to be retracted from the closed wound.
Wearable micropump for therapeutic drug delivery
The present disclosure describes a system for the delivery of therapeutic substances to the cavities of a patient. The system can include a wearable micropump that is fluidically coupled with a handpiece. The handpiece can be inserted, for example, into the middle ear via a surgical tympanotomy approach. The system can enable a controlled injection of a therapeutic substance directly into the patient's cavity.
Measurement device and method for monitoring condition of patient
A measurement device and a method for monitoring a condition of a patient. The measurement device includes: a gas-guide apparatus, connected between an medical gas provider and a patient and configured to deliver medical gas from the medical gas provider to the patient; and at least one sensing apparatus, placed on an outer surface of the gas-guide apparatus and configured to detect real-time measurement data of the medical gas passing through the gas-guide apparatus. In this way, the at least one sensing apparatus is placed on the outer surface of the gas-guide apparatus, since the measurement data is a relative value which indicates a change of internal environment of the gas-guide apparatus, this can also avoid a problem of contamination compared with setting a sensor inside a respiratory device, thus improving the security of the measurement.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TREATING SPINAL CORD TISSUE
The present invention provides devices and methods that treat damaged spinal cord tissue, such as spinal tissue damaged by disease, infection, or trauma, which may lead to the presence of swelling, compression, and compromised blood flow secondary to interstitial edema.
IMPLANTABLE INTRATHECAL DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR CHRONIC PAIN CONTROL
The present disclosure relates to an improved implantable drug delivery device, method, and system that is powered by compression and expansion of an inert gas contained within a compressible bellows and surrounded by a biocompatible housing that forms a reservoir which is connected to restricted channel for flow rate control and further connected to a flexible reinforced catheter that delivers medicants from the reservoir to the intrathecal space or other desired bodily tissue.
Central nervous system localized hypothermia apparatus and methods
Apparatus and methods for accomplishing fluid drainage and localized cooling of the central nervous system broadly encompassing an intrathecal catheter assembly accomplishing drainage and cooling, and a console apparatus that may contain control, cooling, and drainage subsystems, and use thereof.
Drug Delivery Systems and Methods
Drug delivery systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a drug delivery system can be configured to deliver a drug to a patient in coordination with a physiological parameter of the patient (e.g., the patient’s natural cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pulsation or the patient’s heart or respiration rate). In some embodiments, a drug delivery system can be configured to use a combination of infusion and aspiration to control delivery of a drug to a patient. Catheters, controllers, and other components for use in the above systems are also disclosed, as are various methods of using such systems.
Apparatuses, systems and methods for controlled delivery of therapeutics and related substances
The present invention teaches apparatuses, systems and methods for performing a variety of medical procedures, including those involving introducing one or more substances into a subject's body. In some embodiments, the invention teaches automatically performing guided injections into a tissue site (e.g. spinal cord) of a subject by using one or more electronically operated components including a cannula, a syringe pump, and a stereotactic device.
Method and system for modulating neural activity
Methods and related systems for modulating neural activity by cyclically modulating neural activity in peripheral neural structures are disclosed. Neural activity may be modulated cyclically by stimuli delivered via various types of stimulus sources. In an aspect, activity of a sensory nerve is modulated. Neural modulation may be used, for example, to modulate an undesired sensation, such as pain, or an immune or inflammatory response or process. Delivery of stimuli for modulating neural activity may be controlled in part in response to an input from a user input device.
