Wind-wave complementary energy integrated system based on fixed foundation and power generation and transmission method thereof
The wind-wave complementary energy integrated system based on fixed foundation and generation and transmission method thereof pertains to the field of ocean renewable energy utilization, solving the problem of combining the wind and wave energy in a support structure, including a wind turbine, a tower, a wave energy device and a single pile foundation, the wind turbine is connected to the tower, and the single pile foundation is at the bottom of the tower, the single pile foundation is connected to the seabed, and the wave energy device is mounted on the tower near the sea surface. The effect is the renewable energy utilization rate and the energy conversion rate are effectively improved, thus reducing the cost to a certain extent and having high utility.
Buoy and installation method for the buoy
A buoy (10) comprising a central column (12), an outer frame (14) attached to the central column with buoyancy which may be provided by the outer frame and/or by attached buoyancy units (16). The central column is negatively buoyant and is normally open at one end to allow water to flow in, and create an oscillating water column caused by waves. This water column dampens the effect of wave or other forces on the buoy, thus providing a more stable foundation for a wind powered generator. A further generator may be provided to extract energy from the oscillating water column. The buoy is normally attached to an anchor by one or more tension leg tethers which maintains the buoyancy below the surface of the water which has also be found to increase stability. The anchor may be a modular gravity base anchor.
CONTINUOUS FLUID FLOW POWER GENERATOR
A continuous fluid flow power generator includes an electrical generator with submersible turbine blades in communication with a flow of fluid in a body of water to generate electricity. The generator may include a water tower and a hydro turbine generator to generate electricity through kinetic actions; a float and piston assembly activated by wave action to deliver water to the water tower; kick turbines to create water flow to the water tower through submersible pumps; and a rechargeable battery in communication with the electrical generator and the hydro turbine generator. The generator may also include solar assemblies and windmills to provide supplemental electricity generation for charging the rechargeable battery. The generator may be connectable to a battery bank aboard a vessel or to an electrical grid.
Marine-Pumped Hydroelectric Energy Storage
In a general aspect, a system stores energy underwater. In some aspects, the system includes a base having a bottom side resting on an underwater floor and a top side that includes recessed surfaces. The system also includes domed walls extending from the top side of the base to form respective fluid chambers. Each of the fluid chambers includes an interior volume that is at least partially defined by one of the recessed surfaces and an interior surface of one of the domed walls. The system additionally includes a pump and a generator. The pump is configured to transport water from the fluid chambers toward an exterior environment of the system. The generator is configured to generate electrical energy in response to water flowing from the exterior environment toward the fluid chambers.
WIND, WAVE, AND WATER POWER GENERATION SYSTEM
A power generation system includes a flotation assembly configured to float in water and a first harnessing assembly coupled to the flotation assembly and disposed in an airflow above the water. The first harnessing assembly is configured to harness the airflow to create a first rotational energy. The system also includes a second harnessing assembly coupled to the flotation assembly and disposed in the water. The second rotational assembly is configured to harness movement of the water to create a second rotational energy. The flotation assembly also includes a generating module to convert the first and second rotational energies into electrical energy.
Ducted wind turbine and support platform
A wind-energy-power-generating device is disclosed for flotation on a body of water. The device includes a turbine assembly having rotor blades rotating about a rotation axis for harnessing kinetic energy from an airflow. The device includes a cowl at least partially surrounding said turbine assembly and defining an airflow passageway between a cowl inlet and outlet, having an inlet and outlet axis, respectively. The inlet and outlet axis intersect at a redirect angle. The device includes a base platform adapted to support the turbine assembly and cowl on the water. The cowl is rotatably mounted on the base platform such that it is rotatable around the turbine assembly to self-align with a wind direction. Stabilising arms extend from the base platform and are spaced circumferentially around a platform axis, to stabilise it on the water. A wind-energy-power-generating device secured to the ground or other fixed non-floating structure is also described.
