A set of units for assembly to form a wind turbine nacelle. The nacelle comprises a rotor-supporting assembly and generator, and a power conversion assembly and the set of units comprises a main unit arranged to be connected to a wind turbine tower and housing the rotor-supporting assembly and the generator, and at least two different auxiliary units each housing an operative component forming part of the power conversion assembly. To allow different wind turbine configurations, one of the auxiliary units can be selected from the at least two auxiliary units and assembled with the main unit to form the nacelle.

The present disclosure relates to methods and tools for assembling a hub and a generator for a wind turbine, and more particularly to methods and tools for assembling a hub, a generator and a main frame for a direct-drive wind turbine. A method comprises providing a wind turbine hub, a generator and a main frame. The method further comprises vertically moving at least one of the hub and the generator towards the other of the hub and the generator; attaching the hub and the generator to form a hub-generator assembly; turning the hub-generator assembly while gripping the wind turbine hub; and attaching the hub-generator assembly to the main frame.

The system includes a root plate including a flange portion with at least one aperture disposed therein. The system includes a sealing collar disposed within the aperture in the root plate. The system includes at least one washer having a larger diameter than the aperture in the root plate. The system includes a threaded collar having a longitudinally extending channel and threads on an outer surfaces thereof. The system includes a fastener disposed at least partially within the longitudinally extending channel of the threaded collar. The system includes a locknut disposed above the fastener abutting the fastener and a bolt cover disposed over the locknut, the bolt cover abutting the collar.

The pin also includes a proximal portion having at least a rod member that extends span-wise through and secures together the pin portion and the distal portion.
