A fluid system includes a pumping flowline, wherein the pumping flowline is in selectable fluid communication with a production flowline, a cylinder including a first port and a second port, a piston slidably disposed in the cylinder, the piston sealing against an inner surface of the cylinder to form a first chamber and a second chamber, wherein the first chamber is in fluid communication with the first port and the second chamber is in fluid communication with the second port, and a first flowline in fluid communication with the first port of the cylinder and the pumping flowline, the first flowline including a first flowline valve, wherein, in response to opening the first flowline valve, the piston is displaced through the cylinder in a first direction to expand a volume of the first chamber of the cylinder.

Pump assemblies for use with a subsurface fluid reservoir include an upper portion connected to a fluid conduit extending to the surface, a lower portion connected to the upper portion and in fluid communication with a fluid reservoir of the wellbore, and a plunger assembly movably located within the upper and lower portion of the pump assembly. As the fluid pressure within the tubing string, fluidly isolated from the fluid conduit, increases, fluid is forced into the pump assembly moving the plunger assembly upwell to draw fluid into the pump and forces fluid into the fluid conduit. As the fluid pressure within the tubing string decreases, movement of the plunger assembly forces fluid from the lower portion into the upper portion through a fluid passageway extending through the plunger assembly.

Fluid End
A fluid end comprising a plurality of fluid end sections positioned in a side-by-side relationship. Each fluid end section is releasably attached to a connect plate. Each connect plate is attached to a power source using a plurality of stay rods. Each fluid end section comprises a housing in fluid communication with a pair of intake manifolds and a discharge conduit. A fluid routing plug is installed within each housing and is configured to route fluid throughout the housing. A plunger is installed within stuffing box attached to each housing. A number of features, including the location of seals within bore walls and carbide inserts within valve guides, aid in reducing or transferring wear.

A check valve comprises a housing, a fluid passage, a seat, a valve member and a stop. The fluid passage extends through the housing. The seat is disposed in the fluid passage. The valve member is positioned in the passage to engage the seat. The stop extends through the housing to engage the valve member. The stop is accessible from outside the housing to adjust a distance the valve member can travel from the seat. In one embodiment, the stop includes a variable stop feature, such as an offset pin or a cam. In another embodiment, the stop includes a pump control valve. In yet another embodiment, the housing includes markings to indicate a position of the stop. The valve member comprises a ball or a poppet in different embodiments.

An arrangement for throttling a fluid flow includes a throttle element arranged so as to influence a flow cross section in a fluid duct. The throttle element has a resiliently elastic disc-shaped basic body which is arranged with a top side and a bottom side between at least two supports in the fluid duct. The body is arranged in such a way that the flow cross section can be variably adjusted as a function of a pressure difference between the top side and the bottom side of the resiliently elastic disc-shaped basic body. At least one support bears against the top side of the resiliently elastic disc-shaped basic body, and at least one support bears against the bottom side of the resiliently elastic disc-shaped basic body.
Arrangement for throttling a fluid flow, and corresponding piston pump for delivering fluids
An arrangement for throttling a fluid flow includes a throttle element arranged so as to influence a flow cross section in a fluid duct. The throttle element has a resiliently elastic disc-shaped basic body which is arranged with a top side and a bottom side between at least two supports in the fluid duct. The body is arranged in such a way that the flow cross section can be variably adjusted as a function of a pressure difference between the top side and the bottom side of the resiliently elastic disc-shaped basic body. At least one support bears against the top side of the resiliently elastic disc-shaped basic body, and at least one support bears against the bottom side of the resiliently elastic disc-shaped basic body.
