Pressure Intensifier for Fluids
A pressure intensifier for fluids, in particular for liquids, comprising a cylinder block in which a pressure intensifier piston and a control piston move cyclically, wherein the pressure intensifier piston forms a high-pressure working chamber and a low-pressure working chamber in the cylinder block and the cylinder block has a low-pressure connection for feeding in low-pressure fluid from outside, a high-pressure connection for discharging higher-pressure working fluid towards the outside and a connection for discharging fluid whose working capacity in the pressure intensifier is exhausted, wherein the cylinder block has a coupling portion rigidly connected with it, which can be inserted into a receiving bore of a hydraulic block and fixed there, so that the receiving bore encloses the coupling portion, wherein the coupling portion has at least two fluid transfer regions fluidically separated by a seal, for exchanging fluid between the pressure intensifier and the hydraulic block into which it is inserted.
HIGH-VISCOSITY FLUID DOSE ISOLATORS
In one example, a fluid delivery system (10) comprises a pump cavity (1) to receive a high-viscosity fluid, such that when full, the pump cavity (1) is to define a dose of high-viscosity fluid. The system (10) further comprises an access (2) to the pump cavity (1), to provide fluid communication with the pump cavity (1), and a plunger (3) to block the access (2) to the pump cavity (1) and isolate the dose of the high-viscosity fluid for ejection of the dose by the plunger (3).
CONTROL VALVE WITH OPTIMIZED CROSS-SECTION
A control valve for a pump for delivering a fluid. The control valve includes: a valve housing which delineates a piston chamber; a piston which can be moved within the piston chamber; and a fluid channel which ports into the piston chamber via a port opening, wherein the port opening defines a port control edge. The valve housing includes a recess which extends into the fluid channel, wherein the recess defines a recess control edge which is axially offset with respect to the port control edge, and/or the piston includes a piston recess which defines a piston recess control edge.
MUD PUMP VALVE LEAK DETECTION AND FORECASTING
A system and method for controlling a pump in a drilling system, of which the method includes determining a plurality of baseline behaviors for one or more valves of the pump, determining a plurality of in-use behaviors for the one or more valves of the pump. Each of the plurality of in-use behaviors are determined based on one or more measurements from one or more sensors. The method also includes comparing the in-use behaviors and the baseline behaviors, and forecasting, based on the comparison of the in-use behaviors and the baseline behaviors, a remaining useful life of the at least one of the one or more valves.

Piston-valve engagement in fluid sprayers
A pump draws fluid from a reservoir and drives the fluid downstream to a spray tip where the fluid is applied to a surface. A piston is driven in a reciprocating manner to pump the fluid. A check valve is disposed downstream of the piston to regulate a flow of the fluid downstream from the piston. The pump is initially dry and is primed with fluid prior to operation. To facilitate priming, the piston is dimensioned to impact the ball and unseat a valve member of the check valve during a priming stroke, thereby ejecting any air from the pump through the check valve. With the air ejected from the pump, a vacuum is formed during a suction stroke of the piston, which draws fluid downstream from the reservoir to prime the pump.
