Motor cooling systems

A system can include a compressor outlet line configured to receive compressor outlet flow from a compressor, a bypass line in fluid communication with the compressor outlet line and a motor outlet line to divert a bypass flow of the compressor outlet flow. The system can include at least one pump in fluid communication between the bypass line and the motor outlet line such that the bypass flow at least partially drives the pump to pull cooling flow through a motor to cool the motor.

Inflow device

A method of starting up flow of viscous oil in a pipeline, wherein the pipeline has an inlet and an outlet and wherein the viscous oil is initially stationary within the pipeline, includes supplying water to a first section of the pipeline through an inflow control device; initiating a flow of viscous oil within the first section towards the outlet by pressurising the water; supplying water to a second section of the pipeline through a further inflow wherein the first section is closer to the outlet of the pipeline than the second section; and initiating a flow of viscous oil within the second section towards the outlet by pressurising the water.

Linear displacement pump with position sensing and related systems and methods

In a linear displacement pump, liquid is discharged by driving a piston along at least part of a stroke length. While discharging the liquid, a linear position of the piston is sensed at a plurality of positions along the stroke length, and a plurality of output signals is produced. Based on one or more of the output signals, an operational state of the pump is determined.
