Piston limit sensing for fluid application
A liquid delivery system includes a source of hydraulic fluid and a hydraulic cylinder fluidically coupled to the source of hydraulic fluid and having a hydraulic piston movable between first and second limit positions. The liquid delivery system includes a rod connected to the piston and extending out of the hydraulic cylinder and a sensor device located outside the hydraulic cylinder and configured to sense a position of the rod and to generate a signal indicating the sensed position. The liquid delivery system includes a liquid cylinder comprising a liquid piston, operably driven by the rod, to pump a liquid along a flow path to a fluid applicator.
Method for increasing subsea accumulator volume
In a subsea system where subsea devices are operated using a pressurized fluid from one or more accumulators, the method of providing flow of pressurized fluid to operate a device which is greater than the flow from an accumulator providing the flow, comprising discharging the accumulator to drive one or more motors, driving one or more pumps by the one or more motors, the one or more pumps having a larger displacement than the one or more motors such that the one or more pump outputs a greater volume of fluid than the motor consumes, and delivering the output of the one or more pumps to operated the subsea device.

Piston pump and motor
A plunger pump or plunger motor includes a block accommodating a first cylindrical chamber and a plunger movable in this chamber and a drive shaft connected to this plunger, as well as a second cylindrical chamber and a control valve movable in this second cylindrical chamber. Holes O.sub.3 and O.sub.4 can alternately be brought into communication with the connection for the delivery pipe by the plunger and with a connecting hole for a pressure line. The control valve can establish a communication between the hole O.sub.2 and the connecting hole. The drive shaft is connected to a further plunger which is movable in a third cylindrical chamber in which there is a suction hole or delivery hole. The control valve can alternately establish a communication between the suction hole or delivery hole with a connecting hole for a suction pipe and the connecting hole for the pressure line.

Liquid dispenser with plunger
A dispenser includes: a plunger; a dispensing portion configured to dispense and suction liquid in response to an advance and a retraction of a distal end surface of the plunger along an axial line. The dispensing portion includes: a surrounding portion surrounding the distal end surface of the plunger about the axial line to define an accommodation chamber for accommodate the liquid to be dispensed; and an end portion facing the distal end surface of the plunger. The surrounding portion includes an inlet opening into the accommodation chamber to receive the liquid into the accommodation chamber. A distance from the inlet to the end portion is less than or equal to half of a maximum stroke of the distal end surface of the plunger.
