Bootstrap hydraulic reservoir
A bootstrap hydraulic reservoir includes a bootstrap chamber to hold hydraulic fluid, a piston chamber fluidly connected to a pressure line of the hydraulic fluid system, a piston having a bootstrap end portion held within the bootstrap chamber and a pressure end portion held within the piston chamber, and a hydraulic accumulator fluidly connected to the pressure line of the hydraulic fluid system. The hydraulic accumulator accumulates pressurized hydraulic fluid from the pressure line. The bootstrap hydraulic reservoir also includes a valve fluidly connected to the pressure line of the hydraulic fluid system between the hydraulic accumulator and an outlet of a pump of the hydraulic fluid system. The valve includes an actuator selectively moves the valve to an open position when the pressure line of the hydraulic fluid system is de-pressurized.
Container assembly for a pump
A container assembly (10) for a pump is described, provided with at least one pumping group (12, 14, 16, 18) and with at least one system (20) for transmitting power to such pumping group (12, 14, 16, 18). The container assembly (10) comprises at least one elastic element (26) sealingly housed inside such container assembly (10) at a predefined internal wall (28) thereof. Inside the elastic element (26), at least one cavity (32) is obtained which defines a corresponding air chamber configured for damping the variations of volume and the expansion of the fluid contained inside the pump following a possible change of state of the fluid itself when subjected to temperatures lower than its freezing point.
Method for operating a device for the dosed supply of a liquid
A method for operating a device for dosed supply of a liquid, having a pump to deliver the liquid. The pump has an inlet and an outlet. An eccentric is arranged on the pump housing and a deformable diaphragm is arranged between a pump housing and the eccentric. The deformable diaphragm and the pump housing delimit a delivery path from the inlet to the outlet. The seal can be displaced along the delivery path by movement of the eccentric. A pressure sensor is connected to the outlet of the pump. A liquid is delivered by the pump. A time curve of the pressure at the outlet of the pump is monitored during delivery by the at least one pressure sensor. An angle position of the eccentric of the pump is detected using at least one characteristic feature of the time curve at the outlet.
High-pressure fuel pump
The present disclosure relates to pumps. Various embodiments may include a high-pressure fuel pump with: a low-pressure region with a low-pressure damper for damping pressure pulsations that occur during the operation of the high-pressure fuel pump; a damper capsule contained in the damper volume; and a spiral spring enclosed in the damper volume for imparting a preload force to at least a region of the damper capsule. The low-pressure damper has a damper volume. The damper capsule has a gas volume enclosed between two membranes.
PUMP
The pump has a casing accommodating a piston and a driving part. The casing has a first casing member having a driving part retaining portion retaining the driving part, a second casing member fixedly stacked on the first casing member in the reciprocating direction of the piston, and a cylindrical pump chamber peripheral wall member disposed around a head of the piston. The second casing member has an end wall portion extending in a transverse direction substantially perpendicular to the reciprocating direction. A pump chamber, a delivery chamber, and a buffer chamber are defined between the first casing member and the end wall portion of the second casing member. The pump chamber, the delivery chamber, and the buffer chamber are disposed side-by-side in the transverse direction.
FLUID APPARATUS AND BUFFER TANK FOR USE THEREIN
A fluid apparatus includes an air pump and a buffer tank. The buffer tank has an inlet receiving air delivered from the air pump into a storage space, and an outlet discharging the air from the storage space. The storage space contains a discharge flow passage extending from the outlet toward the inlet in the storage space. The discharge flow passage opens toward the inlet. The discharge flow passage has a tapering flow passage portion with a cross-sectional area gradually decreasing toward the outlet. Compressed air delivered from the inlet into the storage space diffuses in the storage space and is introduced into the discharge flow passage from an introduction opening and delivered from the outlet.
Active surge chamber
An active surge chamber for use in a paint supply system comprising a paint channel, a fluid chamber connected to a pressurised fluid supply, a diaphragm, a spring, and means responsive to movement of the diaphragm for effecting connection and disconnection of the pressurised fluid supply to the fluid chamber and for relieving pressure of fluid in the chamber. The paint channel is sealingly separated from the fluid chamber by the diaphragm. The spring has a spring rate such that the force exerted on the diaphragm by the spring restricts movement of the diaphragm over a selected range of pump outlet pressures in order to attenuate the movement of the diaphragm and reduce the susceptibility of the system to unwanted oscillation. Pressure fluctuations in a paint flow induced by usage of a reciprocating pump upstream of the active surge chamber are minimised.
USING BALLOON AS DAMPER FOR PORT OF A RECIPROCATING PUMP
A disposable single-piston dual-action reciprocating pump part includes a single piston, an output port, and a balloon damper. The output port is configured for outputting fluid pumped by the single piston. The balloon damper is fitted in the output port, and the balloon damper is configured to suppress a pulsation in a flow rate of the outputted fluid.
Diaphragm damper device coiled wave spring and damper system
A coiled wave spring used by a diaphragm damper device and arranged in a fuel chamber defined by a housing and a cover is provided. The coiled wave spring is configured to be arranged between a diaphragm damper of the diaphragm damper device and the cover. The coiled wave spring is configured to fix the diaphragm damper to the housing with its elastic force. The coiled wave spring includes a coil portion, a winding initiation portion, and a winding termination portion. The winding initiation portion and the winding termination portion form flat seat windings. The seat windings each have a larger outer diameter than the coil portion. One of the seat windings is configured to be fixed to the diaphragm damper.
