The controller is connected to the solar panel and the pump unit and may be configured to optimize battery charging for poor or indirect lighting conditions.

WOOD-BASED SOLAR THERMAL DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR FABRICATION AND USE THEREOF

Solar thermal devices are formed from a block of wood, where the natural cell lumens of the wood form an interconnected network that transports fluid or material therein. The block of wood can be modified to increase absorption of solar radiation. Combining the solar absorption effects with the natural transport network can be used for various applications. In some embodiments, heating of the modified block of wood by insolation can be used to evaporate a fluid, for example, evaporating water for extraction, distillation, or desalination. In other embodiments, heating of the modified block of wood by insolation can be used to change transport properties of a material to allow it to be transported in the interconnected network, for example, heating crude oil to adsorb the oil within the block of wood.

SOLAR DRIVE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR OIL PUMP JACKS
20220252064 · 2022-08-11 ·

A system for supplementing the electric power needed by a pump jack electric motor, thereby reducing the electric power purchased from the local utility or power supplier. The system comprises a solar photovoltaic system, or other forms of renewable energy, and regenerated power from the electric motor or drive. The system can be both “on-grid” and “off-grid.” Battery banks and capacitor banks may be used to store energy.

Heat-Driven Pumping System

According to examples of the disclosure there is provided a heat-driven pumping system and a method of pumping. The heat-driven pumping system comprises a closed circuit for a first liquid. The closed circuit comprises a vaporization portion. The vaporization portion is configured to receive heat from an external source. The vaporization portion is configured to cause vaporization of first liquid within the vaporization portion. Vaporization of first liquid within the vaporization portion thereby increases an amount of gas in the closed circuit. The closed circuit is sealed such that the increase in the amount of gas increases a pressure exerted on the first liquid. The heat-driven pumping system comprises a transfer means. The transfer means is configured to convert the pressure exerted on the first liquid into a pumping force. The pumping force is transferred to a pumping vessel for pumping a second liquid.

Portable alternative-energy powered pump assembly

A modular pump system permits combining multiple discrete pump assemblies in serial and/or parallel configurations to tailor system output to user needs. The assemblies may be combined by hand quickly, without the needs for tools, to permit use in remote areas.

The present invention is a solar powered emergency water pump system designed to be used in combination with a private water well system to provide water when a power outage or other failure disables the primary pump system. The invention is comprised of the following major components: a solar panel for gathering energy, a battery for storing energy for energy supply at night, a controller for converting and directing energy flow, a microprocessor for system control and diagnostics, a hydraulic pump, a submersible hydraulic motor and lifting pump, tubing or piping for water transfer and a container for storing the emergency water. The system is designed for the pump to run 24 hours a day supplying water at a low rate.

High efficiency, high pressure pump suitable for remote installations and solar power sources

A pump head has a motor coupler; a motor mount; at least one piston housing; a fluid input; a fluid output; and a reciprocating piston to pump a fluid from fluid input to fluid output. The manifold has fluid input and output bores extending parallel with the reciprocating piston, and from end to end thereof. The motor mount has a mounting flange configured to couple to a motor, and a torsion sleeve extending from the flange. A torsion bolt is coupled with the piston housing. An elastomeric sleeve isolates the torsion bolt from torsion sleeve. The torsion bolt longitudinally compresses and radially expands the elastomeric sleeve toward and against the torsion sleeve. The reciprocating piston, piston housing, a first seal, and a second seal in combination define a fluid collection chamber for fluid that leaks past the first seal. A fluid conduit connects the fluid collection chamber to the fluid input. An over-pressure release valve assembly is coupled on an input with the fluid output from the pump head, and is configured to stay closed until a predetermined maximum pressure is exceeded, and when opened will spill fluid back to at least one of the fluid inlet or a fluid reservoir.
