Microfluidic valve
A microfluidic valve comprises a first reservoir, a second reservoir, an inertial pump and a channel connecting the first reservoir to the second reservoir. The second reservoir is to receive fluid from the first reservoir through the channel under a pressure gradient. The inertial pump is within the channel proximate the second reservoir and distant the first reservoir.
HYDRAULIC MICROVALVE
A miniaturized hydraulic valve having a valve chamber arranged in a housing having an inlet and an outlet, wherein a wall includes a shifting member movable in the direction of the inlet and/or the outlet, and wherein a fluid-filled drive chamber is arranged on an opposite side of the wall, which is connected to a micropump in such a way that the shifting member can be actively deflected by fluid which can be pressurized by means of the micropump, so that its position can be changed relative to the inlet and/or outlet.
MICROFLUIDIC CHIP
A microfluidic chip orients and isolates components in a sample fluid mixture by two step focusing, where sheath fluids compress the sample fluid mixture in a sample input channel in one direction, such that the sample fluid mixture becomes a narrower stream bounded by the sheath fluids, and by having the sheath fluids compress the sample fluid mixture in a second direction further downstream, such that the components are compressed and oriented in a selected direction to pass through an interrogation chamber in single file formation for identification and separation by various methods. The isolation mechanism utilizes external, stacked piezoelectric actuator assemblies disposed on a microfluidic chip holder, or piezoelectric actuator assemblies on-chip, so that the actuator assemblies are triggered by an electronic signal to actuate jet chambers on either side of the sample input channel, to jet selected components in the sample input channel into one of the output channels.
VALVE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A LIQUID MEDICAMENT, AND A CORRESPONDING DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A LIQUID MEDICAMENT
The invention relates to a valve, in particular for a device for administering a liquid medicament, with a valve body (1) which has an interior (2) for receiving a liquid (20), wherein the valve body (1) has a liquid inlet (3) and an opposite liquid outlet (4) which both open into the interior (2), wherein the interior (2) accommodates a large number of micro channels (5) which extend in connection direction (x) between the liquid inlet (3) and the liquid outlet (4). A corresponding device for administering a liquid medicament is also described.
MICROPUMP HAVING A SEALING RING
Disclosed is a micropump for delivery of a fluid. The micropump comprises body comprising metering chamber for receiving fluid and groove, and nozzle attached to metering chamber for delivering fluid. A capillary delivers fluid into metering chamber, and piston operates to move axially inside metering chamber. Axial movement of first end of piston (namely, piston face) along path between second end and first end of metering chamber delivers fluid through nozzle. Moreover, groove radially surrounds piston and has common axis with piston. The groove comprises sealing ring operable to move inside groove based on axial movement of piston. The sealing ring is in contact with piston and body. The sealing ring is manufactured using a rubber composition comprising hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR), and carbon black.
AGRICULTURAL SAMPLING SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
An automated computer-controlled sampling system and related methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing agricultural samples for various chemical properties such as plant available nutrients. The sampling system allows multiple samples to be processed and analyzed for different analytes or chemical properties in a simultaneous concurrent or semi-concurrent manner. Advantageously, the system can process soil samples in the “as collected” condition without drying or grinding to produce a sample slurry. The system includes a chemical analysis sub-system which processes and analyzes the prepared slurry for quantifying multiple analytes and/or chemical properties of the sample. The chemical analysis sub-system may be embodied in a multi-layered microfluidic manifold processing substrate comprising microfluidic devices which extract and quantify the concentration of analytes or other chemical parameters associated with the sample. The system can be used to analyze various type of agricultural-related samples including soil, vegetation, manure, milk or other.
ELECTROOSMOTIC PUMP
The present invention discloses a path-type liquid medicine delivery electro-osmosis pump that can be applied to a wearable medicine device.
An electro osmosis pump according to the present invention includes: a connector provided with a liquid medicine inlet and a liquid medicine outlet; a check valve assembly combined to one side of the connector; and a driver that is connected to the other side of the connector and moves the liquid medicine toward the liquid medicine outlet by applying pressure to the liquid medicine while being separated from the liquid medicine, which passes through the check valve assembly.
MICRO PISTON PUMP
A low-force, non-displacement, micro/miniature valve and/or pump assembly is provided. A tube component having a first side port coupled to an inlet portion and a second side port coupled to an outlet portion can be selectively moved to alternatively couple the side ports to a first or second piston pump chamber. First and second pistons can be actuated after positioning the tube component to either draw in fluid or push out fluid from either the first or second piston pump chambers during each actuation of the pistons. The fluid can be drawn in from a reservoir and can be expelled to a patient for providing a dose of the fluid to the patient.
Mask with primary and secondary air delivery
A respiratory interface device is provided. The respiratory interface device includes a patient interface device, a patient circuit, and a pressure generating assembly. Pressure generating assembly includes a first pressure generating device and a second pressure generating device. Patient circuit includes a reduced conduit.
Circular magnetic field generator and pump with rotating permanent magnet
A system may include a magnetic shape memory (MSM) element having a longitudinal axis that extends from a first end of the MSM element to a second end of the MSM element. The system may further include a rotatable permanent magnet configured to rotate around an axis of rotation and positioned proximate to the MSM element. The system may also include a first solenoid having a first solenoid axis directed at the rotatable permanent magnet. The system may include a second solenoid having a second solenoid axis directed at the rotatable permanent magnet. A method may include applying a first alternating current (AC) signal to the first solenoid and a second AC signal to the second solenoid to cause the rotatable permanent magnet to rotate.
