Microfluidic device and methods
This disclosure provides devices and methods for the isolation of single cells or particles of interest from a solution comprising a plurality of cells or a solution composed of a homogenous population of particles. Specifically, the present disclosure is directed to microfluidic devices and methods for analyzing cells in a sample. More specifically, the present disclosure provides droplet microfluidic devices and methods for using the same to obtain (trap), encapsulate, and retrieve (isolate) single cells or particles from a sample with improved efficiency.
FLUID CIRCULATION PUMP
A fluid flow pump comprising a suction inlet, a discharge outlet, and a movable part inside the chamber. The pump includes circular first upstream and downstream lips such that: over a first portion of the movement of said movable part in the chamber, the circular first upstream lip then allowing free passage for fluid between the first space and the suction inlet; and that over a second portion of said movement, the circular first upstream lip provides sealing preventing fluid from passing to the suction inlet, the circular first downstream lip allowing fluid to pass from the first space to said discharge outlet and preventing fluid from passing to said first space.
Thermoelectric pumping apparatus
A thermoelectric pumping apparatus for use with a heating device includes a water receptacle. A thermoelectric device includes a “cool” side coupled to the receptacle and an opposed “hot” side, the thermoelectric device generating current upon a temperature differential between the cool and hot sides. A conduction member is proximate the hot side and in selective communication with the heating device. A spring is positioned between a top side of the conduction member and receptacle, the spring being movable between a compressed configuration at which the conduction member is in thermal communication with the hot side of the thermoelectric device and an extended configuration at which the top side of the conduction member is not in thermal communication with the hot side of the thermoelectric device. A water pump is in fluid communication with the water in the receptacle and selectively energized by the thermoelectric device to output the water.

ELECTROMAGNETIC PUMP
The present disclosure relates to a technical field of fluid delivering. An electromagnetic pump is provided. The electromagnetic pump includes a drive mechanism and a magnetic assembly, where the magnetic assembly is configured to be driven by the drive mechanism to generate a varying magnetic field.
Self-pumping structures and methods of using self-pumping structures
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for a self-pumping structure, methods of self-pumping, and the like.

ELECTROCHEMICAL HYDROGEN PUMP
An electrochemical hydrogen pump includes an electrolyte membrane, an anode on a first primary surface of the electrolyte membrane, a cathode on a second primary surface of the electrolyte membrane, and an anode separator on the anode. The anode includes an anode catalyst layer on the first primary surface of the electrolyte membrane and an anode gas diffusion layer on the anode catalyst layer. The anode gas diffusion layer includes a porous carbon sheet that is a powder molded body.
PLUNGER PUMP
A plunger pump includes: a motor; a bracket attached to the motor; a holding member fixed to the bracket; a plunger extending in a axial direction; a pump head holding the plunger such that the plunger is capable of rotating and reciprocating in the axial direction; and a joint mechanism for converting rotation of the motor into rotation and reciprocation of the plunger, wherein the holding member includes first and second plate members each formed into a flat plate shape, and the first and second plate members are parallel to each other so as to sandwich the pump head.
Electrically driven compressor mounted on a vehicle engine having a weight inside to shift the resonance frequency of the compressor from that of the engine
An electrically-driven compressor is installed on an engine. Refrigerant is compressed with rotation of a rotating shaft in a compression unit. An electric motor is coupled to the rotating shaft and drives the compression unit through the rotating shaft. A housing accommodates the compression unit, the electric motor, and the motor drive circuit aligned in the listed order in the axial direction of the rotating shaft. The housing is internally provided with the discharge chamber through which the refrigerant compressed by the compression unit is discharged. A weight is attached to the housing and disposed in the discharge chamber in a manner that a resonance frequency of the electrically-driven compressor is shifted relative to a resonance frequency of the engine, the weight including a material having a specific gravity greater than a specific gravity of a constituent material of the housing.
