Dual engine-compressor system
The present invention is directed to a dual engine-compressor system having a crankcase enclosing a crankshaft and having engine cylinder housings and compressor cylinder housings linearly disposed on opposite sides of the crankcase. Combustion pistons are reciprocatingly disposed in the engine cylinder housings and defines alternating combustion chambers on opposite sides of the pistons. Compressor pistons are reciprocatingly disposed in the compressor housings and define alternating low and high pressure compressor chambers on opposite sides of the compressor pistons. The compressor pistons undergo a 4-cycle process to drawn in, re-distribute, and then compress fluid. The compressor cylinder and piston has a series of one-way intakes and reed valves to selectively draw or push fluid in response to movement of the compressor piston.
PROCESS FOR OPERATING A SINGLE-STROKE COMBUSTION ENGINE
The present invention is directed to a process for operating a combustion engine having a double-sided piston in a piston cylinder, wherein every stroke of the double-sided piston is a power stroke. Every piston cylinder defines a combustion chamber on each side of the double-sided piston. The process includes igniting a fuel-air mixture in each combustion chamber on each side of double-sided piston during every compression, i.e., at about top dead center and at about bottom dead center. The process utilizes the double-sided piston to achieve two power strokes per piston for each engine cycle.
Reciprocating compressor having first and second cylinders in selective fluid communication with respective first and second suction plenums
A compressor may include a crankcase, a crankshaft, a piston, a discharge valve and a suction plenum. The crankcase defines a discharge plenum receiving working fluid at a first pressure. The crankshaft is disposed within the discharge plenum. The piston is drivingly connected to the crankshaft and reciprocatingly received in a cylinder. The piston and cylinder cooperate to define a compression chamber therebetween. The discharge valve may control fluid flow through a discharge passage between the compression chamber and the discharge plenum. The suction plenum may receive working fluid at a second pressure that is less than the first pressure. The suction plenum may provide working fluid at the second pressure to the compression chamber.
Variable pressure air pump
A variable pressure air pump includes a first cylinder and a second cylinder movable relative to the first cylinder along a longitudinal axis. An air tube is mounted in the first and second cylinders. A mounting portion is integrally formed on a first end of the air tube. A first piston and a second piston compress air in the first and second cylinders. A connecting device is mounted to the first cylinder for coupling with an object to be inflated. An air escape device selectively seals a second chamber of the second cylinder to selectively compress the air in the second cylinder. A first check valve is mounted to the mounting portion of the air tube. A second check valve is mounted to the second piston.
TWO STAGE AIR COMPRESSOR
The compressor presents a first and a second cylinder block arranged in V and defining, respectively, a first and a second cylinder, and being affixed on a base block, each cylinder housing a respective piston driven by a crankshaft which is housed and supported on the base block. The first and the second cylinder block incorporate, respectively, a first and a second duct portion having an outer end open to the interior of the cylinder head of the respective cylinder, and an inner end open to a third duct portion incorporated to the base block, said duct portions forming a compressed air duct connecting the first cylinder to the second cylinder.
AIR COMPRESSOR
An air compressor includes: a motor; a compression mechanism that is driven by the motor and that is configured to generate compressed air; a tank that is configured to store the generated compressed air; a load acquisition part that is configured to acquire a load applied to the compression mechanism; and a control part that is configured to control a rotation of the motor. The control part is configured to perform control for changing a TN characteristic of the motor in response to the load of the compression mechanism acquired by the load acquisition part.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A PISTON COMPRESSOR, AND PISTON COMPRESSOR
The invention relates to a method for operating a piston compressor (100) having a reciprocating piston (111) in a cylinder (110), wherein an inlet valve (112) and an outlet valve (113) are provided in the cylinder (110) on the side of a medium (b) which is to be compressed and conveyed, wherein the reciprocating piston (111) is moved to and fro by way of a hydraulic drive (120, 121) with a hydraulic piston (120) with the use of a hydraulic medium (a) in a first volume (141), with which the reciprocating piston (111) is loaded on the side of the hydraulic drive (120, 121), wherein, if required, hydraulic medium (a) is fed into the first volume (141) and/or is discharged from the first volume (141) in a manner which is dependent on a position of the hydraulic piston (120) and/or a rotational angle ((p) of a shaft (121) which is provided for moving the hydraulic piston (120) in relation to a position (x) of the reciprocating piston (120) and/or a pressure (p) in the first volume (141), and to a piston compressor (100) of this type.
INFLATOR
An inflator includes a mouthpiece, an adjustment mechanism, and an air cylinder mechanism that includes a large-diameter cylinder permitted to move relative to the mouthpiece. When the large-diameter cylinder is moved away from the mouthpiece, air from external environment is sucked into a first space of the air cylinder mechanism. The adjustment mechanism is operable to switch between a pressure relief state, where air in the first space is released to the external environment when the large-diameter cylinder is moved toward the mouthpiece, and a sealed state, where the air in the first space is injected into the mouthpiece when the large-diameter cylinder is moved toward the mouthpiece.
Compressor and Air Conditioner with Compressor
Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a compressor and an air conditioner with the compressor. The compressor includes: a first compression part, a second compression part, an intermediate cavity and an intermediate passage. Refrigerant discharged from the first compression part enters the intermediate cavity. The intermediate passage communicates with the intermediate cavity and an inner cavity of the second compression part. A bottom port of the intermediate passage is located at a bottom of the intermediate cavity, and air supplement refrigerant and/or the refrigerant discharged from the first compression part are used to convey accumulated oil in the intermediate cavity to the inner cavity of the second compression part. When only the refrigerant is used to convey the accumulated to the inner cavity of the second compression part, at least a part of the intermediate passage is located outside of a housing assembly of the compressor.
