SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EVALUATING THE INTEGRITY OF A UTERINE CAVITY

A system for accessing a patient's uterine cavity and detecting perforations in the uterus includes an elongated probe having a flow channel extending to a terminal outlet in a distal region of the probe. A fluid source is coupled to the flow channel, and a seal on the probe is positionable in an endocervical canal. The probe may be trans-cervically inserted into the uterine cavity, and a fluid may be introduced through the channel to flow outwardly from the terminal outlet into the uterine cavity. A parameter of said fluid flow is monitored to detect a perforation in the uterus.

ASPIRATOR HEAD ADAPTOR

A suction head adaptor suitable for collecting fluid and blood during a surgical operation is provided. The suction head adaptor includes a first end and a second end opposite from the first end. The suction head adaptor may have a conical structure at the first end with a first aperture positioned at a center of the conical structure. A tube extends from the first aperture toward the second end and has a second aperture at the second end, allowing fluid to flow from the first aperture to the second aperture through the tube. An absorbent material such as a gauze can be provided within the conical structure. A splash guard can be provided on the tube to prevent splashing during suction, and ridges can be provided on the tube at the second end to allow the suction head adaptor to be inserted into a suction tube connected to an aspirator.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PRE-HEATING FLUID TO BE INTRODUCED INTO A PATIENT DURING A SURGICAL PROCEDURE

In various embodiments of the invention, a manipulator attaches to and allows a sheath to be positioned inside the cervix and a catheter to thereby be inserted through the sheath and be positioned in a desired location in the uterus. In various embodiments of the invention, the manipulator may be attached or permanently connected to the sheath. In various embodiments of the invention, the sheath is fenestrated to allow the catheter to be detached from the sheath. In various embodiments of the invention, the manipulator allows the sheath to be positioned through the cervix canal to allow for catheter transmitted intrauterine pressure monitoring or balloon catheter assisted ripening of the cervix.

FOOT OPERATED TRACTION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING SAME FOR MECHANICAL CERVICAL RIPENING
20210259740 · 2021-08-26 ·

A foot operated traction device for allowing a pregnant woman to selectively self-induce dilatation of her cervix via her foot and a method for doing the same, the device comprising a balloon catheter comprising an inflatable balloon insertable above the cervix of the pregnant woman and an elongate catheter tube comprising a catheter tube proximal end portion and a catheter tube distal end portion coaxially mounted to the inflatable balloon, the inflatable balloon inflatable with a fluid to apply dilatative pressure against the cervix, and an elongate stirrup connected to the catheter tube at the catheter tube proximal end at a stirrup proximal end and removably engageable with the foot of the pregnant woman at a stirrup distal end, wherein the stirrup distal end is movable by the movement of the foot to selectively vary a traction force of the inflatable balloon.

DEVICE FOR IRRIGATING BODY CAVITIES, FOR EXAMPLE FOR HYSTEROSCOPY
20210260274 · 2021-08-26 ·

The present patent application relates to a device for rinsing body cavities, as they are used, for instance, in the hysteroscopy, that determines, by using flow sensors, the introduced and discharged amount of rinsing liquid. Based on these flow measurements, it can be determined whether a relevant amount of liquid has been left in the patient.

FLUID COLLECTING SHEATHS FOR ENDOSCOPIC DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
20210236702 · 2021-08-05 ·

A system includes an endoscope defining a proximal end, a distal end and an elongated shaft extending between the proximal end and the distal end of the endoscope. A fluid collecting sheath defines a proximal end and a distal end. The fluid collecting sheath is configured for insertion into a vaginal opening. The fluid collecting sheath includes fluid collecting apertures defined at the distal end of the fluid collecting sheath. A fluid line is in fluid communication with the fluid collecting apertures. A channel is formed in the fluid collecting sheath. The channel extends between the proximal end and the distal end of the fluid collecting sheath. The channel defines an opening therein. The channel of the fluid collecting sheath is configured to operably engage the elongated shaft of the endoscope by passing the elongated shaft of the endoscope through the opening of the channel.
