DECOUPLED LONG STROKE PUMP

Methods for operating a decoupled long stroke pump to pump treatment fluid to a wellbore are provided. The decoupled long stroke pump has relatively long stroke plungers that can be powered by hydraulics, linear electric motors, mechanical long stroke mechanisms, linear actuators, or any other device that can provide a linear force to the plungers. Such long stroke pumps have the suction and discharge strokes decoupled such that an absolute linear flow rate without pressure pulses on the suction or discharge can be produced. Any desired flow profile of the treatment fluid can be produced via the decoupled long stroke pump.

The cover body covers the housing, and the cover body is provided with a second vent port. The inflation module is disposed in the housing. The control module is disposed in the housing, and the control module comprises a control circuit board and an air pressure detection unit. The air pressure detection unit is disposed on the control circuit board, and the control circuit board is electrically connected to the inflation module and configured for performing controlling.

In one aspect, there is provided a damper control system for a reciprocating pump assembly according to which control signals are sent to electromagnets. In another aspect, there is provided a method of dampening vibrations in a pump drivetrain according to which a beginning of torque variation is detected and at least a portion of the torque variation is negated. In another aspect, signals or data associated with pump characteristics are received from sensors, torque characteristics and damper response voltages per degree of crank angle are calculated, and control signals are sent to electromagnets. In another aspect, a damper system includes a fluid chamber configured to receive a magnetorheological fluid; a flywheel disposed at least partially within the fluid chamber and adapted to be operably coupled to a fluid pump crankshaft; and a magnetic device proximate the flywheel. The magnetic device applies a variable drag force to the flywheel.
