11795942 · 2023-10-24 · ·

A cartridge assembly for use in a high pressure pump according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a cartridge housing. A bore extends through the cartridge housing from a valve end to a packing end. A valve assembly is arranged in the valve end of the bore and configured to abut a valve seat. The bore has a constant diameter between the valve assembly and the packing end. The cartridge assembly is designed to be used in a fluid pump at a fluid pressure of at least 30,000 psi.

PRESSURE PACKING FOR A RECIPROCATING PISTON COMPRESSOR WITH BUFFER GAS BARRIER

For a pressure packing with a buffer gas barrier into which a buffer gas is fed via a buffer gas feeding line, a sensing line is provided that is connected at a first end to a vent volume in the pressure packing with an opposite second end of the sensing line being closed, so that there is no gas flow in the sensing line. A pressure regulator is connected to the buffer gas feeding line for setting the buffer gas pressure in the buffer gas feeding line, whereas, during operation of the pressure packing, the pressure in the sensing line is used as pilot pressure for the pressure regulator for setting the buffer gas pressure.

PACKING ASSEMBLY WITH THREADED SLEEVE FOR INTERACTION WITH AN INSTALLATION TOOL

A packing assembly includes a packing sleeve having a first sleeve portion and a second sleeve portion, wherein a first sleeve portion outer diameter is larger than a second sleeve portion outer diameter and a first sleeve portion inner diameter is larger than a second sleeve portion inner diameter. The packing assembly also includes a groove formed in the second sleeve portion outer diameter. The packing assembly further includes a shoulder formed at a transition between the first sleeve portion and the second sleeve portion. The packing assembly includes a shelf formed at the transition between the first sleeve portion and the second sleeve portion. The packing assembly also includes a plurality of packing components arranged within the first sleeve portion inner diameter, at least a portion of the plurality of packing components engaging the shelf. The packing assembly further includes a seal positioned within the groove.

Seal assembly
11448229 · 2022-09-20 ·

A seal assembly for sealing an annular space between a first cylindrical surface and a second cylindrical surface. The annular space has high pressure zones and low pressure zones. The seal assembly has an annular seal with an inner surface that faces the second cylindrical component, an outer surface that faces the first cylindrical component, a sealing end and an engagement end. A seal actuator assembly applies a force to the engagement end of the annular seal to urge the annular seal in a first direction towards an engaged position within the annular space. The force applied to the engagement end of the annular seal has a first component aligned with the first direction and a second component that is perpendicular to the first direction. The first component is at least 1.7 times greater than the second component.

Well service pump system structural joint housing having a first connector and a second connector each including one or more lands and grooves that are configured to mate with corresponding lands and grooves in an end cylinder housing and a ram cylinder housing

A well service pump system for supplying working fluid to a well, the pump system having structural joint coupled to and extending between the housing of a hydraulic ram cylinder and the housing of a working fluid end cylinder that maintains the distance between the housings and stabilizes the housings relative to one another without interfering with the operation of the pump system. The structural joint further permits the use of minimal supporting structures for securing the hydraulic ram cylinder and working fluid end cylinder to a surface, such as the bed of a trailer.

Packing screw removal tool

A packing screw removal tool for removing packing from a pump fluid end comprising: a tool body; a plurality of packing screw engagement dogs distributed about an axis of rotation about the packing screw removal tool; and a torque transfer engagement post coupled to the tool body. The engagement dogs align with and are releasably connected to radial locations on the packing screw. Applied torque is transferred through a torque transfer engagement post, through the tool body to the engagement dogs and into the packing nut. A second torque transfer engagement post is smaller than the first engagement post. The shape of the tool body allows rotation in limited or confined space. A pump may be serviced at the wellsite by utilizing the packing screw removal tool to unthread the packing screw from the fluid end.
