SENSOR APPARATUS SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS
A sensor apparatus and sensor apparatus system for use in conjunction with a cassette, including a disposable or replaceable cassette. In some embodiments, the cassette includes a thermal well for permitting the sensing of various properties of a subject media. The thermal well includes a hollow housing of a thermally conductive material. In other embodiments, the cassette includes sensor leads for sensing of various properties of a subject media. The thermal well has an inner surface shaped so as to form a mating relationship with a sensing probe. The mating thermally couples the inner surface with a sensing probe. In some embodiments, the thermal well is located on a disposable portion and the sensing probe on a reusable portion.
BELLOWS PUMP DEVICE
Provided is a bellows pump device that is able to reduce fall of a discharge pressure of a transport fluid during contraction operation of a bellows. The bellows pump device supplies pressurized air to a hermetic discharge-side air chamber thereby to cause a bellows disposed within the discharge-side air chamber to perform contraction operation to discharge a transport fluid, and discharges the pressurized air from the discharge-side air chamber thereby to cause the bellows to perform expansion operation to suck the transport fluid. The bellows pump device includes an electropneumatic regulator configured to adjust an air pressure of the pressurized air to be supplied to the discharge-side air chamber, such that the air pressure is increased so as to correspond to a contraction characteristic of the bellows during the contraction operation of the bellows.
Pump Control System Having Temperature Detection and Interface for Remote Monitoring and Control
A pump control system receives inputs from a low level fluid level sensor, a high level fluid level sensor, and/or a temperature sensor. Based on inputs from the sensors, and in response to sensed trouble conditions, duplex pumping or pump specific simplex operation is restricted based on past and present pump current draws. Furthermore, using the temperature sensor and a temperature sensor output device, the temperature of the sump environment can be monitored at will from a remote location.
Compressor Having Oil-Level Sensing System
A compressor may include a shell containing a motor, a compression mechanism and a lubricant sump. The compressor may also include first and second temperature sensors, and a control module. The first temperature sensor may be at least partially disposed within the lubricant sump and may measure a first temperature of a lubricant at a first position. The second temperature sensor may be at least partially disposed within the lubricant sump and may measure a second temperature of the lubricant at a second position that is vertically higher than the first position. The control module is in communication with the first and second temperature sensors. The control module may determine a first difference between the first temperature and the second temperature. The control module may determine whether a liquid level of the lubricant in the lubricant sump is below a predetermined level based on the first difference.
High-pressure fluid processing device configured for batch processing
A high pressure processing device is configured to simplify batch processing. The high pressure processing device includes a processing module configured to reduce a particle size of a material or achieve a desired liquid processing result for the material, a pump configured to pump the material to an inlet of the processing module, a recirculation pathway configured to recirculate the material from an outlet of the processing module back to the pump, an input device configured to receive at least one user input variable, and a controller configured to (i) determine a number of pump strokes for the pump based on the user input variable, and (ii) control the pump according to the determined number of pump strokes so that the material makes a plurality of passes through the processing module.
Diagnostic system and method for monitoring hydraulic pump
A system and method include a hydraulic system onboard an aircraft, a first temperature sensor, a second temperature sensor, and a controller. The first temperature sensor measures a first temperature of hydraulic fluid upstream of an inlet of a pump of the hydraulic system. The second temperature sensor measures a second temperature of the hydraulic fluid within a cooling flow stream downstream of an outlet of the pump. The controller determines a value of a temperature rise of the hydraulic fluid across the pump as a difference between the first temperature and the second temperature, and obtains an expected range for the temperature rise across the pump based on a speed of the pump. In response to the value of the temperature rise being outside of the expected range, the controller generates a maintenance message for communication off-board the aircraft, indicating the pump is degraded.
System Configured to Pump Fuel
A fuel pump system configured to control a pressure pulse within a fuel system. The fuel pump system includes a conduit and a pump fluidly coupled to the conduit. The conduit has a conduit volume and is configured to contain fuel within. The pump includes a first pump stage in which the pump defines a maximum pump displacement and a second pump stage in which the pump defines a minimum pump displacement. The pump is configured to provide an output mass of fuel to the conduit when the pump transitions from the first pump stage to the second pump stage, causing pressure of the fuel within the conduit to pulse. The maximum pump displacement is set to a value defined by a ratio of the output mass of fuel per the conduit volume needed to maintain the pressure pulse in the conduit within a predetermined pressure pulse range.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A FIRST REFERENCE TEMPERATURE IN A DEVICE FOR COMPRESSING GAS
A method for controlling a first reference temperature in a device (1) for compressing gas, the device (1) including an oil-injected element (2) for compressing the gas; an oil injection pipe network (6) for injecting oil into the oil-injected element (2), including: an apportioning means (8) for apportioning the oil into a first part and into a second part; an oil cooler (10) cooled by a fan (9), for cooling the first part; and a bypass (11) for diverting the second part past the oil cooler (10). An apportioning proportion of the first part is controlled to a required apportioning proportion, and subsequently a speed of the fan (9) is controlled to a required speed optionally on the basis of the apportioning proportion, wherein the apportioning proportion is controlled by a control unit (15) on the basis of a non-fuzzy logic algorithm.
