PUMP WITH CONTROL SYSTEM INCLUDING A CONTROL SYSTEM FOR DIRECTING DELIVERY OF PRESSURIZED LUBRICANT
Provided is a variable displacement vane pump with a control slide and a first and second control chambers. Also, the pump has a control system for controlling delivery of pressurized lubricant to the chambers. The control system includes a control device configured for movement between at least a first control position and a second control position. The control device may include its own housing and/or include discs configured for relative movement. The pivot pin may include grooves for delivering a flow from the outlet to the control system. In the first control position, pressurized lubricant is delivered to the first control chamber and the second control chamber is vented, which increases the output flow of the pump. In the second control position, pressurized lubricant is delivered to the second control chamber and the first control chamber is vented, which decreases the output flow of the pump.

A transfer pump configured to move a hydraulic fluid in a hydraulic fluid management system of a hydraulic system of a vehicle including a transmission. In one embodiment, the transfer pump moves the fluid from a differential case to a hydraulic reservoir coupled to the transmission. The transfer pump is a positive displacement pump including an unloading device, such as a sealing plate, that is resiliently biased against the pump during a normal operation but is moved away from the pump upon the application of a pilot pressure. The result is an open chamber for the pump gears to turn without developing pressure, to thereby reduce parasitic losses.

A method of manufacturing a slide of a variable oil pump for a vehicle includes preparing a molded body for a slide of a variable oil pump using prealloy powder including, in percent (%) by weight of the entire composition, 0.45 to 0.55% of carbon (C), 2.8 to 3.2% of chromium (Cr), 0.45 to 0.55% of molybdenum (Mo), 0.35 to 0.5% of manganese (Mn), 0.1 to 0.25% of sulfur (S), and the remainder of iron (Fe) and inevitable impurities. A sintered body is prepared by sintering the molded body. The sintered body is slowly cooled such that a temperature of the sintered body reaches a first temperature range and rapidly cooled when the first temperature range is reached.

VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT OIL PUMP
A variable displacement oil pump includes an adjustable member that is configured to shift according to changes in pressure inside a control oil chamber. The adjustable member has a long hole. A guide pin is disposed inside the long hole. The guide pin is fixed to either a housing or a cover of the variable displacement oil pump. The width of the long hole is larger at a part of the long hole farther away from a fixed end of the guide pin in its lengthwise direction than at a part thereof closer to the fixed end.

A rotary positive displacement pump for fluids, in particular for the lubrication oil of a motor vehicle engine (60), has a displacement that can be regulated by means of the rotation of a stator ring (12) having an eccentric cavity (13) in which the rotor (15) of the pump (1) rotates. The stator ring (12) is configured as a multistage rotary piston for displacement regulation and is arranged to be directly driven by a fluid under pressure, in particular oil taken from a delivery side (19) of the pump or from a point of the lubrication circuit located downstream the oil filter (62). The invention also concerns a method of regulating the displacement of the pump (1) and a lubrication system for a motor vehicle engine in which the pump (1) is used.
