MAGNETICALLY CONTROLLED VALVE AND PUMP DEVICES AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are embodiments of magnetically controlled valve and pump systems that can be used to control and facilitate fluid flow in fluidic devices. Various types of magnetically controlled valves and pumps are described as well as methods of magnetically-controlling such valves and pumps.
DEMAND FUEL SYSTEMS FOR TURBOMACHINES
A fuel system for a turbomachine includes a fuel tank and a first fuel line in fluid communication with the fuel tank and one or more fuel injectors. The first fuel line includes a main fuel pump disposed on the first fuel line, and an electric metering system disposed on the first fuel line downstream of the main fuel pump configured for starting the turbomachine and metering fuel to the fuel injectors.

A controllable screw spindle pump for the lubricating oil supply of an internal combustion engine comprises a pump housing (1), in which a throttle chamber (13) and a control chamber (14) are configured which are in contact with the lubricating oil to be conveyed; wherein the throttle chamber (13) is arranged between the pump inlet (10) and the spindle chamber (12), and the throttle chamber (13) comprises a throttle valve (3), by way of which a throughflow cross section of a conveying stream can be set; and the control chamber (14) comprises a hydraulic control valve (4) with a piston (40) which responds to a hydraulic control pressure (p1, p2) in the control chamber (14), and the control chamber (14) is oriented parallel to the spindle chamber (12) in relation to an actuating travel of the piston (40); and a valve body (30) of the throttle valve (3) is coupled to the piston (40) of the hydraulic control valve (4).
Controllable Screw Spindle Pump
A controllable screw spindle pump for the lubricating oil supply of an internal combustion engine comprises a pump housing (1), in which a throttle chamber (13) and a control chamber (14) are configured which are in contact with the lubricating oil to be conveyed; wherein the throttle chamber (13) is arranged between the pump inlet (10) and the spindle chamber (12), and the throttle chamber (13) comprises a throttle valve (3), by way of which a throughflow cross section of a conveying stream can be set; and the control chamber (14) comprises a hydraulic control valve (4) with a piston (40) which responds to a hydraulic control pressure (p1, p2) in the control chamber (14), and the control chamber (14) is oriented parallel to the spindle chamber (12) in relation to an actuating travel of the piston (40); and a valve body (30) of the throttle valve (3) is coupled to the piston (40) of the hydraulic control valve (4).
Capacity-modulated scroll compressor
A compressor is provided and may include a first scroll member having an end plate and a spiral wrap extending from the end plate. The end plate may include a first modulation port and a second modulation port each in fluid communication with a compression pocket formed by the spiral wrap. A first modulation valve ring may be movable relative to the end plate between a first position blocking the first modulation port and a second position spaced apart from the first modulation port. A second modulation valve ring may movable relative to the end plate between a first position blocking the second modulation port and a second position spaced apart from the second modulation port. The second modulation ring may be located radially inward from the first modulation valve ring.
Capacity-modulated scroll compressor
A compressor is provided and may include a first scroll member having an end plate and a spiral wrap extending from the end plate. The end plate may include a first modulation port and a second modulation port each in fluid communication with a compression pocket formed by the spiral wrap. A first modulation valve ring may be movable relative to the end plate between a first position blocking the first modulation port and a second position spaced apart from the first modulation port. A second modulation valve ring may movable relative to the end plate between a first position blocking the second modulation port and a second position spaced apart from the second modulation port. The second modulation ring may be located radially inward from the first modulation valve ring.
PUMP DEVICE
A pump device includes a flow control valve that returns a part of working fluid discharged from a pump to the suction side, and the flow control valve includes a valve body, a first fluid pressure chamber that is provided so as to face against a first-side end surface of the valve body and that is communicated with a discharge channel, a second fluid pressure chamber that is provided so as to face against a second-side end surface of the valve body and that is communicated with the discharge channel, a biasing member that is accommodated in the second fluid pressure chamber for biasing the valve body in the valve-closing direction, and a pressure regulator that is provided in a communicating passage through which the discharge channel is communicated with the second fluid pressure chamber and that adjusts pressure in the second fluid pressure chamber.
Variable displacement lubricant pump for an internal combustion engine with a temperature control valve
A variable displacement lubricant pump for providing a pressurized lubricant for an internal combustion engine includes a control ring configured to be shiftable, a pump rotor comprising a plurality of slidable vanes which are configured to rotate in the control ring, a hydraulic control chamber configured to directly actuate the control ring, a valve bore, and a temperature control valve configured to connect or disconnect the temperature control opening to an atmospheric pressure. The hydraulic control chamber comprises a side wall comprising a temperature control opening arranged therein. The temperature control valve comprises a switching strip which comprises a switching temperature. The switching strip is configured to be in an open position if a temperature is below the switching temperature, and to be in a closed position if the temperature is above the switching temperature so as to close the valve bore.
Variable displacement lubricant pump for an internal combustion engine with a temperature control valve
A variable displacement lubricant pump for providing a pressurized lubricant for an internal combustion engine includes a control ring configured to be shiftable, a pump rotor comprising a plurality of slidable vanes which are configured to rotate in the control ring, a hydraulic control chamber configured to directly actuate the control ring, a valve bore, and a temperature control valve configured to connect or disconnect the temperature control opening to an atmospheric pressure. The hydraulic control chamber comprises a side wall comprising a temperature control opening arranged therein. The temperature control valve comprises a switching strip which comprises a switching temperature. The switching strip is configured to be in an open position if a temperature is below the switching temperature, and to be in a closed position if the temperature is above the switching temperature so as to close the valve bore.
