POSITIONING AND STABILISING STRUCTURE FOR A PATIENT INTERFACE SYSTEM
A patient interface system to treat sleep disordered breathing of a patient with pressurized gas, comprising: a patient interface; at least one strap; at least one retractor fixedly attached to the patient interface, said at least one retractor connected to the at least one strap and configured to retract the at least one strap without patient actuation; and at least one pad to cushion a rearward portion of the patient's head, said at least one pad having an opening, wherein said at least one strap passes through said opening to allow the at least one pad to move freely relative to said at least one strap.
METHOD AND APPARATUS TO ATTAIN AND MAINTAIN TARGET ARTERIAL BLOOD GAS CONCENTRATIONS USING RAMP SEQUENCES
An apparatus and method for controlling the end tidal partial pressure of a gas X in a subject's lung, and to the use of such an apparatus and method for research, diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, wherein the method consists of: -obtaining input of a series of logistically attainable PetX values for a series of respective breaths: -determining an amount of gas X required to be inspired by the subject in an inspired gas to target the PetX for each of said respective breaths; and controlling a gas delivery device to deliver the amount of gas in a volume of gas delivered to the subject in each of said respective breaths to target the respective PetX for that breath.
Substance delivery arrangement for gas therapy device
A mount configured for use within a respiratory system that provides a structure that facilitates coupling of a nebuliser downstream of a humidifier chamber and upstream of a conduit that delivers conditioned breathing gases to a patient or user. The mount can couple together a chamber, a nebulizer and a conduit.
SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING GASES FOR VENTILATION AND OXYGENATION WITH FEED OF INHALABLE SUBSTANCES
A system (1000) feeds substances to a patient (30) with a ventilation of the patient and with an oxygenation of the patient. The system (1000) has at least one ventilation system (1), a sedation by inhalation system (17) with a dispensing system (7), an oxygenation system (2), a breathing gas dispensing path (3), a purge gas dispensing path (4), a breathing gas connection system (5), a connection element (25) located adjacent to the patient, an oxygenation connection system (6) and a switching unit (8). The switching unit (8) is configured to distribute and to split a quantity of an inhalable substance dispensed into a gas mixture by means of the dispensing system (7) between the connection element (25) located adjacent to the patient and the oxygenation system (2). At least one control unit (9, 10, 11, 12) is configured to control the switching unit (8) and/or the system (1000).
Gas humidification arrangement
A humidification arrangement can be configured to have multiple compartments with each compartment having at least one moisture source and at least one heater. The compartments can be thermally isolated and can be controlled such that the moisture output of both the first and second compartments is set to a function of the same set of input signals.
Reperfusion protection in resuscitation
An apparatus and method for resuscitating a patient suffering from cardiac arrest or another condition in which normal circulation has been interrupted. A ventilator is used for delivering a gas mixture to the patient. The ventilator is configured to adjust the partial pressure of CO2 to one or more partial pressures high enough to slow expiration of CO2 from the patient's lungs and thereby maintain a reduced pH in the patient's tissues for a period of time following return of spontaneous circulation.
AR/VR/XR ASSISTANCE
A reality system includes a display aimed at a retina, the display providing 3D images with different depth view points; a glass to selectably turn on or off view of an outside environment in front of the person's eye; a processor coupled to the camera and to the glass to selectably switch between augmented reality and virtual reality; and a wireless transceiver coupled to the transceiver to communicate with a remote processor.
PAP system
A respiratory system is configured to pressurize and deliver a flow of respiratory gas to a patient's airways. The respiratory system includes a cushion configured to sealingly engage the patient's face and a blower mounted to the cushion and configured to pressurize a flow of respiratory gas. An interface structure is attached to an outlet of the blower and an aperture in the cushion. The interface structure forms a gas flow path between the cushion and the blower. The gas flow path is configured to deliver the pressurized respiratory gas from the blower through the aperture in the cushion. The gas flow path is also configured to vent exhaled gas from the aperture in the cushion to atmosphere. The respiratory system also includes headgear configured to support the cushion and the blower on the patient's face.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONFIGURING A RULE SET FOR MEDICAL EVENT MANAGEMENT AND RESPONSES
A system and method to configure a rule set used in connection with a medical monitoring system for monitoring patients and patient care equipment, especially medication delivery pumps, based on a variety of conditions and parameters associated with monitored biometric information and equipment information and for providing user-defined responses to those conditions and parameters.
Biomarker Based Nicotine Replacement Therapy
A device for providing nicotine replacement therapy may be provided. The device may comprise a processor. The processor may be configured to perform one or more actions. A cessation program for a user may be determined. A program intervention event based on a phase of the cessation program may be determined. A marker associated with the user may be determined. A modification to the cessation program may be determined based on the program intervention event.
