Combined infusion set and sensor
11547812 · 2023-01-10 · ·

In one embodiment, an infusion set and sensor assembly delivered within a subject is disclosed. The assembly includes a cannula that is terminated at a cannula opening. The assembly further includes a sharp that is at least partially within the hollow of the cannula. A sensor having a proximal end and a distal end is also included in the assembly. The proximal end of the sensor is held in a fixed location while the distal end is retained with a portion of the cannula. The sensor further includes sensor slack, wherein transitioning the sharp from a first position to a second position simultaneously inserts the cannula and sensor to a desired insertion depth within a subject via a single point of insertion.

Exacerbation predicting device, oxygen concentrating device, and exacerbation predicting system

Provided is an exacerbation prediction device equipped with a respiration sensing means of continuously sensing respiration data of a patient, a calculation means of calculating stable respiration data that are respiration data during a condition in which a respiratory rate is lowered and stable for a certain period of time from the sensed continuous respiration data of the patient, and a prediction means of predicting occurrence of an acute exacerbation in the patient in accordance with the stable respiration data calculated during a certain period of time.

Ventilation system

A respiration device (1) supports cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a method for operating a respiration device (1) supports cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The respiration device (1) has a control and regulation unit (7) in order to actuate an expiratory metering unit (3), and an inspiratory metering unit (2) such that, in a first phase, a current value of pressure is increased relative to a first pre-defined value (16) and such that, in a second phase, the current value of the pressure is reduced relative to the first pre-defined value (16).

Method of managing medical suction device through network and management server used for the same

A method of managing a medical suction device through a network may be embodied by the management server through the steps of: storing operation information of at least one medical suction device in a storage unit provided in the management server, generating an operation start determination reference value of the medical suction device based on the operation information, receiving information on conditions of a patient from a medical suction device installed at an outside, and determining whether to start an operation of the medical suction device that has transmitted the information on conditions of the patient based on the operation start determination reference value and the information on conditions of the patient.

Flow path sensing for flow therapy apparatus

A respiratory flow therapy apparatus including a sensor module can measure a flow rate of gases or gases concentration provided to a patient. The sensor module can be located after a blower and/or mixer. The sensor module can include at least an ultrasonic transmitter, a receiver, a temperature sensor, a pressure sensor, a humidity sensor and/or a flow rate sensor. The receivers can be immersed in the gases flow path. The receivers can cancel delays in the transmitters and improve accuracy of measurements of characteristics of the gases flow. The receivers can allow for detection of a fault condition in a blower motor of the apparatus.

Sleep performance system and method of use

Sleep performance systems and methods of using the same are disclosed. The sleep performance systems can improve the quality of sleep by making one or more recommendations to the subject for increasing a sleep quality score. The sleep performance systems can have one or more electroencephalography (EEG) electrodes configured to measure a subject's brain activity during sleep. The sleep performance systems can have a processor configured to quantify the quality of the subject's slow-wave sleep by determining one or more sleep performance scores associated with the measured brain activity. The sleep performance systems can recommend and/or activate sleep improvement programs based on various threshold scores.
