APPARATUSES FOR COMPRESSING A GASEOUS FLUID AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH A DEVICE
An apparatus comprising a stator and a rotor which are arranged inside a housing extending along a common longitudinal axis, wherein the stator encloses the rotor in a radial direction. A space is formed between an inside of a wall of the housing and an outside of a wall of the stator. The housing has a first housing element and a second housing element that are arranged with their contact surfaces aligned with each other thus sealing the housing. Thereby, a sealing element is arranged between the contact surfaces of the housing elements. The sealing element has the shape of an annular disc with a circumferential form and at least one sealing area. In the circumferential direction, the form corresponds to a contour of the contact surfaces. The sealing area is designed to at least partially enclose the space.
VANE ROTARY COMPRESSOR
A vane rotary compressor includes a roller rotatably supported in a cylinder and including a plurality of vane slots formed along a circumferential direction with back pressure chambers formed at one end of each of the vane slots. A plurality of vanes are slidably supported in the vane slots protruding toward an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder. A compression space formed by the vanes between the roller and the cylinder includes an inlet port and an outlet port formed at both sides of a contact point between the roller and the cylinder. A vane positioned between the inlet port and the outlet port is configured such that a front gap between a front surface of the vane and the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder is smaller than a rear gap between a rear surface of the vane and an inner surface of the back pressure chamber.
Rotary compressor
A rotary compressor includes: a compressor housing stores lubricating oil; a compression unit compresses the refrigerant; and a motor drives the compression unit. The compression unit includes a cylinder, an upper end plate and a lower end plate, a main bearing provided on the upper end plate, a sub bearing provided on the lower end plate, a rotary shaft supported by the main bearing and the sub bearing, and a piston fitted to the rotary shaft. An inner peripheral surface of a shaft hole of the sub bearing is provided with an oil-supply groove having a helical shape that supplies the lubricating oil from a lower end to an upper end of the shaft hole, and the oil-supply groove is inclined with respect to the rotary shaft in a rotating direction and extends from the lower end toward the upper end of the rotary shaft in the rotating direction.
Scroll compressor having injection passage including first and second outlet passage sections
A scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll including a first end plate having an injection passage through which refrigerant is supplied to a refrigerant suction chamber. The injection passage includes an outlet passage section that opens into the refrigerant suction chamber and extends linearly. A refrigerant compression chamber is disposed on an extension of the outlet passage section.
METHOD OF MAKING A TWO-PIECE COUNTERWEIGHT FOR A SCROLL COMPRESSOR
A method of manufacturing a two-piece counterweight for a scroll compressor is provided. The method includes molding an outer plate, and molding a base having a first opening configured to receive a scroll compressor drive shaft having a longitudinal axis, and configuring the base for assembly and attachment to the drive shaft. The method also includes attaching the outer plate to the base such that the outer plate is axially offset from the base. In a particular embodiment of this method, the base and outer plate are molded from powdered metal. In certain embodiments, the base and outer plate include one or more openings aligned to permit attachment by inserting a mechanical fastener through the aligned openings. In alternate embodiments, the base and outer plate are attached via brazing or welding.
COMPRESSOR
A compressor includes a motor, a compression mechanism driven by the motor to compress a refrigerant, a casing housing the motor and the compression mechanism, at least one fastening member configured to fasten a stator of the motor to a predetermined support member, and an insulating member having electrically insulating properties. The motor is exposed to the refrigerant in the casing. The stator has a fixing portion usable to fix the stator to the support member. The fixing portion is integral with the stator or separate from the stator. At least one through hole is formed in the fixing portion. The insulating member is provided between the fastening member and a wall surface of the through hole. The insulating member has a permittivity lower than a permittivity of the refrigerant.
Scroll compressor having anti-rotation ring
A scroll compressor may include a frame, an orbiting scroll provided with at least one first key groove, a non-orbiting scroll provided with at least one second key groove and coupled to the orbiting scroll to form a compression chamber, and an anti-rotation ring disposed between the frame and the orbiting scroll. The anti-rotation ring may include a ring, at least one first key that axially extends from a first surface of the ring and slidingly coupled to the at least one first key groove of the orbiting scroll, and at least one second key that axially extends from the first surface of the ring and slidingly coupled to the at least one second key groove of the non-orbiting scroll. The first and second keys may be provided along a circumferential direction. This may allow processability of a one-way anti-rotation ring. Further, increase in weight may be prevented while reducing deformation by providing a weight-reduced portion in addition to a reinforcing portion.
Scroll compressor
A scroll compressor is provided which comprises: a housing; a driving motor; an orbiting scroll rotated by the driving motor; a fixed scroll; a suction port provided in the housing and suctioning a refrigerant; an oil separator in the housing at one side of the fixed scroll; and a discharge port for discharging, to the outside of the housing, the refrigerant from which oil is separated in the oil separator.
