Rotary compressor with wear avoiding portion
A rotary compressor may include a rotary shaft; a plurality of plates that supports the rotary shaft; a cylinder provided between the plurality of plates to define a compression space, and provided with a vane slot; a roller slidably coupled to the rotary shaft inside of the cylinder, and having a hinge groove on an outer circumferential surface thereof; and a vane, a first end which is slidably coupled to the vane slot of the cylinder, and a second end of which is rotatably coupled to the hinge groove of the roller. At least one of axial end surfaces of the roller facing the plurality of plates is provided with a wear avoiding portion having a predetermined depth. Contact surfaces between the roller and the plate may be suppressed from being in close contact with each other to suppress the roller or the plate from being damaged or a performance of the compressor due to friction loss from being deteriorated, thereby improving reliability and performance of the compressor.
PAIR OF CO-OPERATING SCREW ROTORS
A pair of co-operating screw rotors including a male rotor and a female rotor. The male rotor and the female rotor have helically extending lobes and intermediate grooves configured to intermesh with one another. Each groove of the female rotor has a first flank including at least three concave sections. A first section includes or is disposed immediately adjacent the radially innermost point of the groove. A second section is shaped as a circular arc with a radius having its center located outside the pitch circle. A third section is shaped as a circular arc with a radius having its center located outside the pitch circle. The radius of the third section is greater than the radius of the second section, which is greater than the radial distance between a pitch circle of the female rotor and the radially innermost point of the groove.
SEGMENTED ROTOR FORM FOR SUPERCHARGERS AND EXPANDERS
A segmented rotor assembly built from individual rotor segments is presented. In one aspect, the segmented rotor assembly is defined by a plurality of lobes extending between a first lobe end and a second lobe end. Each lobe is constructed from a pair of identically shaped lobe segments mated to each other. Each lobe segment is provided with a helical twist extending between a first segment end and a second segment end. The constructed lobes can then be mated to each other to create a wholly formed rotor.
ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED ROTORS FOR SUPERCHARGERS AND EXPANDERS
Rotors formed by an additive manufacturing process are presented. In one example, a method of making a rotor is presented including defining a printing order for the application of a first material, and creating a plurality of lobes arranged helically about a central opening or a shaft by adding a first material in the printing order, wherein each of the plurality of lobes defines an outer surface.
Axial Load In Helical Trochoidal Rotary Machines
Rotary positive displacement machines based on trochoidal geometry and including a helical rotor that undergoes planetary motion relative to a helical stator can be designed and configured so that the axial load or rotor pressure force is positive, negative, or neutral. In some embodiments, a change in axial load, caused by a change in differential pressure across the machine, can be used to trigger a change in a mechanical configuration of the machine.
SUCTION/COMPRESSION ROTATING MECHANISM, ROTARY COMPRESSOR AND ROTARY ENGINE
The present invention relates to highly efficient suction and compression rotating mechanisms, particularly the compression mechanism with piston blocks mounted on two axes and driven by a pair of matching gears in the field of compressors and vacuums or hydraulic system such as oil pump, hydraulic motor, hydraulic gearbox, specifically there is application that uses this mechanism to create one rotary motor with multi compression stages, force-generating stages and continuous fuel burning regime. The new rotary lobe structure in this invention provides a close contact between curved surfaces with the same radius, which is a “Surface -to-surface” contact, whith much better tightness than “line” contact.
SCROLL COMPRESSOR AND AIR CONDITIONER HAVING THE SAME
A scroll compressor includes a motor portion fixed in an inner space of a casing, a compression portion fixed to the inner space of the casing at one side of the motor portion in an axial direction, a rotation shaft to transmit a driving force from the motor portion to the compression portion, and a flow path guide provided in a discharge space between the motor portion and the compression portion and provided with a guide outlet communicating with the discharge space and opened in a direction toward the rotation shaft. Therefore, most of refrigerant discharged to the discharge space through the flow path guide is moved toward an air gap to enhance an oil separation effect, and thus a normal operation point of the air conditioner can be accelerated.
Rotary pump with rotor bearing ring
Lobe pumps have rings which can be located at least partially in at least one of cover plates and rotors, if not both to provide at least thrust bearings to space the rotors from the cover plates. Some rotors may have voids in ears to make the rotor lighter in weight with the voids potentially capped, symmetrically disposed, arcuately shaped and/or have other desirable features. Some rotors may have ears extending beyond cutouts which may extend beyond hubs, if not beyond hub extensions as well which may receive cover spigots thereabout. Some rings may act as radial bearings as well when located in the cover spigots.
DRY PUMP FOR GAS AND SET OF A PLURALITY OF DRY PUMPS FOR GAS
A dry pump for gases comprises a first rotor (1) comprising a first lobe portion (1A) and a first screw (16), as well as a second rotor (2) comprising a second lobe portion (2A) and a second screw (2B). A casing delimits an internal volume in which are located together the first and second screws (1B, 2B) and the first and second lobe portions (1A, 2A). Each of the first and second screws (1B, 2B) comprises a threading invariable along its length. The first and second rotors (1, 2) turn in opposite directions and are located in successive configurations. In a first configuration of the rotors, the first and second lobe portions (1A, 2A), a portion of the first screw (16), a portion of the second screw (2B) and the casing together delimit a chamber (30) which is closed. In a second configuration of the rotors, the chamber (30) has a smaller capacity than in the first configuration. In a third configuration of the rotors, the chamber (30) is displaced entirely at the first and second screws (1B, 2B) and isolated from the lobe portions.
LOBE PUMP
The invention relates to a lobe pump with a. a housing (10), having an inlet (11) and an outlet (12) for the medium to be pumped, b. at least one lobe (20), which is mounted in the housing (10) so as to be drivable and rotatable and which has at least two conveying vanes (22) provided with a contour, which lobe conveys the medium to be delivered from the inlet (11) to the outlet (12), c. and one sealing element (30) per lobe (20), which is mounted on a sealing body (42) and runs over the contour of the lobe (20) during rotation of the lobe (20) and performs an outward travel movement from a minimum diameter of the lobe (20) to a maximum diameter of the lobe (20) and an inward travel movement from the maximum diameter of the lobe (20) to the minimum diameter of the lobe (20) on different sides of the conveying vanes (22), wherein d. the distance which the sealing element (30) covers on the inward travel side (221) of the conveying vane (22) during the inward travel movement is smaller than the distance on the outward travel side (222) during the outward travel movement.
