The system comprises at least one measuring device for measuring at least one parameter; and a handheld mobile computer separate from the inhaler, the computer being configured to communicate with the at least one measuring device and with a remote memory for sending and receiving information to and from patient medical records of the remote memory for storage in a memory of the computer, and the computer being configured to receive a manual input for storage in the memory of the computer. The computer is configured to create a data set for setting a plurality of levels of different dosages of medicine based on the medicine used by the inhaler, the information from the patient's medical records of the remote memory, and the manual input; and the computer is further configured to store the data set in the memory of the computer. The computer is further configured to generate an indication indicating a dosage adjustment for the inhaler, based on the at least one parameter and on one of the plurality of levels of dosage of the data set, the indication indicating one of the plurality of levels of dosage of the data set as the dosage adjustment for the inhaler. A dosage regime generated by the computer controlled dosage system is also disclosed.
Electronic Cigarette
An electronic cigarette includes a plurality of liquid reservoirs configured to store different liquids, each of the liquid reservoirs being fluidically coupled to a heater, a memory configured to store at least one program defining which heater is activated and a duration of time for the activation, a timer configured to regulate the time during which each heater is activated, a controller configured to selectively control the activation of each heater according to the at least one program on the memory, wherein the electronic cigarette is configured to produce a vapour with variations in its composition over time during the course of a vaping session.
Cough assistance and measurement system and method
Systems and methods are configured to inexsufflate a subject and provide cough-by-cough feedback during treatment and/or therapy of the subject. Through sensors that are included in the systems, various gas and/or respiratory parameters maybe measured and/or determined in real-time, such as, for example, peak cough flow and/or inspiratory tidal volume.
DEVICE, PROCESS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR INFLUENCING THE BREATHING OF A PERSON
A device, a process and a computer program influence the breathing of a person. The device (10) for influencing the inspiratory muscles of a person (20) includes a detection device (12) for detecting an electromyographic signal of the person; a breathing influencing device (14) and a control device (16) for controlling the detection device (12) and the breathing influencing device (14). The control device (16) is configured to determine information on a muscle state of an inspiratory muscle of the person (20) on the basis of the electromyographic signal. The control device (16) is further configured to operate the breathing influencing device (14) as a function of the information on the muscle state in a training mode, which is limited in time, with a training intensity.
RELOCATION MODULE AND METHODS FOR SURGICAL EQUIPMENT
Module for housing electronic and electromechanical medical equipment including a portable digital camera and processing circuitry with machine vision and machine learning software for automatically documenting healthcare events and healthcare equipment operations in the electronic health record.
Smart Electronic Mask and Inhaler
Provided is a smart inhaler and wearable smart mask configured to operate as an air ionizer and a controlled multi-liquid atomizer. The smart mask and smart inhaler use a mature technology to deliver various types of liquid solutions to different applications from health care, drug delivery, immunization to recreational and gaming uses. In addition, the smart mask contains multiple actuators to provide haptic feedback to the areas around the mask. The smart mask and inhaler have a direct communication path to a smart device or it can be a smart device by itself; its various environmental and gas sensors act as a feedback mechanism. The detection level of the organic and non-organic VOC gas emitted when exhaling can be communicated and stored for analysis purposes. The detected gas can be regenerated on the same smart mask or a different remote smart mask.
Systems and methods for predicting patient health status
Systems and methods are provided herein for treating a patient in cardiogenic shock. An intravascular heart pump system is inserted into vasculature of the patient. The heart pump system has a cannula, pump outlet, pump inlet, and rotor. The heart pump system is positioned within the patient such that the cannula extends across the patient's aortic valve, the pump inlet is located within the patient's left ventricle, and the pump outlet is located within the patient's aorta. Data related to time-varying parameters of the heart pump system is acquired from the heart pump system. A plurality of features are extracted from the data. A probability of survival of the patient is determined based on the plurality of features and using a prediction model. The heart pump system is operated to treat the patient.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION OF AUTHORIZATION OF A SUBJECT TO USE A SUBSTANCE DELIVERY DEVICE
System and method for identification and verification of authorization of a subject to use a substance delivery device.
Apparatus for respirating of patients
Apparatus for the respiration of patients with means for the circulation in one direction of respiratory gas, with a connection for the patient and with further connections for the supply and discharge of the various components of the gas, whereby the device is provided with means by which the pressure in the line system can be varied according to a certain respiratory pattern, with a primary part that is connected to means for the generating of a work fluidum, the varying pressure of which can establish the varying of the pressure in the line system, and with a secondary part that is part of or is connected to the line system, whereby a cylinder is provided which is divided in a part that connects to the primary part and a part that connects to the secondary part by a disc that is movable relative to the inner wall thereof.
