A system for artificial ventilation including a convertible ventilator circuit having at least one inspiratory filter and at least one expiratory filter. The convertible ventilator circuit compatible with and configured to be used with either a manual ventilator or a mechanical ventilator. The convertible ventilator circuit configured to convert between manual ventilation use and mechanical ventilation use. The system including a patient manifold having one or more sensor ports and a data acquisition unit having one or more sensors configured to interface with the one or more sensor ports of the patient manifold. The data acquisition unit configured to receive electronic data associated with transmission of respiratory gases through the convertible ventilator circuit.

OXYGEN MASK WITH CARBON DIOXIDE MONITOR

An oxygen mask that incorporates chemical carbon dioxide (EtCO2) detectors to allow for the monitoring of patient respiration/ventilation without the use of clinical signs or electronic computer technology by providing a visual indication (through color change of the EtCO2 detectors) of the presence or absence of carbon dioxide.

Bag and valve for advanced respiratory support

A respiratory device provides respiratory support to a patient. The respiratory device includes an expandable bag and a rigid valve housing. The expandable bag has an air inlet valve as well as a first and second sides that are bounded, respectively, by first and second rigid side panels. Each of the first and second rigid side panels includes a biasing member projection. The rigid valve housing is in fluid communication with the expandable bag. The rigid valve housing includes an adjustable tidal volume control device that interfaces with the biasing member projection of each of the first and second rigid side panels to set one of a plurality of predetermined tidal volumes for the expandable bag in an uncompressed or compressed configuration. The rigid valve housing additionally includes a patient breathing interface connection member.

AN AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM COMPRISING A HEALTH MONITORING DEVICE

An aerosol-generating system is provided, including: a health monitoring device including a sensor to collect health data from a user, a controller to receive the health data and determine a health parameter based on the data, and a health monitoring device power supply to supply electrical power to the controller and the sensor, the device not being an aerosol generator; an aerosol-generating device including a cavity to receive a plug of tobacco, an aerosol-generator to generate aerosol from the plug, and an aerosol-generating device power supply configured to supply electrical power to the aerosol-generator; and a charger including a cavity to receive the health monitoring and aerosol generating devices, and a charger power supply to transfer electrical power to the health monitoring device power supply, and from the charging unit power supply to the aerosol-generating device power supply, the cavity being a single cavity.

A BREATH INDICATOR

This invention relates to a breath indicator for providing an indication of an inhalation and/or exhalation state of a user. Said breath indicator comprising a body comprising a gas sampling portion configured for receipt of a user's inhalation and/or exhalation gases, and an indicator portion. Said gas sampling portion in fluid communication with said indicator portion. Said indicator portion comprising at least a first region and at least a second region, the first region comprising a gas parameter detecting material capable of changing between an initial visual state and a subsequent visual state indicative of detection of a gas parameter of inhalation and/or exhalation gases of said user; and wherein said initial visual state and/or said subsequent visual state of the first region visually contrasts with a visual state of at least said second region.
