INHALATION OF NITRIC OXIDE
A method of treating a human subject which is effected by inhalation of gaseous nitric oxide, the method comprising a first treatment period comprising administering gNO by inhalation over a period of about at least 5 days, wherein the first treatment period is followed by a second treatment period comprising administering gNO by inhalation over a period of at least 3 months. The method can be utilized for treating a human subject suffering from, or prone to suffer from, a disease or disorder that is manifested in the respiratory tract, or from a disease or disorder that can be treated via the respiratory tract.
Method and apparatus for determining and/or predicting sleep and respiratory behaviours for management of airway pressure
Devices, systems and methods are provided for controlling the operation of a breathing assistance device for a user. The controller may include an input for receiving sensor data to measure at least one airflow parameter of the user's airflow; a memory unit that stores at least one machine learning model and at least one classifier or predictor; and a processor that is configured to perform measurements and to generate a control signal for adjusting the operation of the breathing assistance device for a current monitoring time period by: obtaining measured air pressure and/or airflow data and measured FOT data during a current monitoring time period; performing feature extraction on the measured data to obtain feature values that are used by the machine learning model employed by the at least one classifier or predictor to determine a property of the user; and adjusting the control signal based on the determined property.

An apparatus for humidifying a flow of breathable gas includes a water reservoir and a water reservoir dock forming a cavity structured and arranged to receive the water reservoir in an operative position. The water reservoir comprises a reservoir base including a cavity structured to hold a volume of water, the reservoir base including a main body and a thermally conductive portion provided to the main body. The thermally conductive portion comprises a combined layered arrangement including a metal plate and a thin film, the thin film comprising a non-metallic material and including a wall thickness of less than about 1 mm. The thin film is adapted to form at least a bottom interior surface of the water reservoir exposed to the volume of water, and the metal plate is adapted to form a bottom exterior surface of the water reservoir.
Flow therapy system and method
A method of determining a duration of safe apnoea. Information is obtained relating to a respiratory indicator, and a duration of safe apnoea is determined from the obtained information. A respiratory therapy system has one or more patient interfaces. A processor is configured to determine a duration of safe apnoea based on obtained information relating to a respiratory indicator.
Method and apparatus for continuous management of airway pressure for detection and/or prediction of respiratory failure
Various embodiments are described herein for a controller for controlling the operation of a breathing assistance device that provides breathing assistance to a user. The controller comprises a processor that generates a respiratory index value that is determined during a current monitoring time period to detect a respiratory failure, or predict the respiratory failure when at least one PSG signal is measured. The respiratory index value is compared to a threshold to determine if the control signal needs to be updated to reduce or eliminate respiratory failure that the user is currently experiencing or to prevent a predicted respiratory failure from occurring.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING CONDITIONS OF VENTILATED PATIENTS
The disclosed system receives various physiological as well as physical information concerning a patient, and operational data from a ventilation device and medication delivery device, and provides the physiological and physical information, together with the operational data, to a neural network configured to analyze the information and data. The system receives, from the neural network, an assessment classification of the patient corresponding to at least one of a pain assessment, a sepsis assessment, and a delirium assessment of the patient based on providing to the neural network the determined physiological state of the patient, the determined physical state of the patient, the determined operational mode of the ventilator, the medication delivery information, and the received diagnostic information for the patient, and adjusts, based on the assessment classification, a ventilation parameter that influences the operational mode of a ventilator providing ventilation to the patient.

SYSTEMS FOR EVALUATING RESPIRATORY FUNCTION USING FORCED OSCILLATION TECHNIQUE (FOT) OSCILLOMETRY
Systems for evaluating the respiratory function of an individual using forced oscillation technique (FOT) oscillometry include a blower controlled so as to apply FOT pressure oscillations on top of a low amplitude offset pressure. A controller continually adjusts the rotational speed of the blower to maintain a targeted time-varying pressure profile in the breathing air provided to the patient.
Ventilation management system
A ventilation management system stores an initial configuration profile including a set of operating parameters for operating one or more respective ventilation devices. The system receives first ventilator data from a first ventilation device at a first location, and second ventilator data from a second ventilation device at a second location, the first and second ventilation devices being configured to operate based on the initial configuration profile, wherein the received first ventilator data comprises one or more current operating parameters of the first ventilation device, or physiological data obtained from a patient associated with the first ventilation device. The system modifies the initial configuration profile for use by the first ventilation device based on the received first ventilation data and provides the modified configuration profile to the first ventilation device. The modified configuration profile is implemented by the first ventilation device when approved by a clinician or the patient.
