INSECT PRODUCTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Variable-scale, modular, easily manufacturable, energy efficient, reliable, and computer operated Insect Production Superstructure Systems (IPSS) may be used to produce insects for human and animal consumption, and for the extraction and use of lipids for applications involving medicine, nanotechnology, consumer products, and chemical production with minimal water, feedstock, and environmental impact. An IPSS may comprise modules including feedstock mixing, enhanced feedstock splitting, insect feeding, insect breeding, insect collection, insect grinding, pathogen removal, multifunctional flour mixing, liquid mixing, shaping, cooking, flavoring, biocatalyst mixing, exoskeleton separation, liquid separation, and lipid extraction. An IPSS may be configured to be constructed out of a plurality of containerized modules.
BIOCHAR EXTRACTS AND METHOD FOR CAPTURING MATERIAL EXTRACTED FROM BIOCHAR
A method for capturing material extracted from biochar, the method comprising the steps of: (i) providing a biochar; (ii) contacting the biochar with a treating liquid, where the treating liquid causes the removal of solids from the pores and surface of the biochar, thereby creating a resulting solution comprised of the treating liquid and removed solids; and (iii) collecting the resulting solution.

ANT BAIT STATIONS WITH ATTRACTANT VECTOR COMPARTMENT AND EASY OPENING
An ant bait station is formed as a stick pack having multiple compartments, wherein each of the compartments contain a bait for a target ant species, and includes a plurality of apertures to the respective compartments. Some or all of the baits may contain a pesticide, for example a borate. In at least one of the compartments containing a pesticide, the apertures are large enough to permit the target ants to enter and exit. In some embodiment a compartment contains a bait without a pesticide. This may improve performance if the non-pesticidal bait attracts ants to the trap, and the lack of pesticidal component extends the life of the attractant. The compartment containing the bait without a pesticide may have apertures that are too small to permit the ants from entering and exiting.

Biomass composition comprising insect particles, method for producing the same, and use of said biomass composition
The invention relates to a biomass composition comprising insect particles or worm particles. The insect particles are for example derived from larvae such as fly larvae, in particular larvae of the species black soldier fly. The insect particles are for example provided by grinding insects. The biomass composition comprises for example ground grain and/or tuber parts of a root vegetable. The invention also related to a method for providing a biomass composition comprising insect particles or worm particles. In addition, the invention relates to the use of the biomass composition in the production of fertilizer, biofuel, animal feed. Furthermore, the invention relates to such fertilizer, biofuel, feed, comprising the biomass composition.
