11225970 · 2022-01-18 · ·

A rotary compressor may include a rotary shaft; a plurality of plates that supports the rotary shaft; a cylinder provided between the plurality of plates to define a compression space, and provided with a vane slot; a roller slidably coupled to the rotary shaft inside of the cylinder, and having a hinge groove on an outer circumferential surface of the roller; and a vane, a first end of which is slidably coupled to the vane slot of the cylinder, and a second end of which is rotatably coupled to the hinge groove of the roller. When an imaginary line passing through an axial center of the rotary shaft and a hinge center of the vane is a first center line, and a radial center line of the vane slot passing through the hinge center of the vane is a second center line, the vane slot is disposed such that the second center line is intersected by a predetermined tilting angle with respect to the first center line. With this structure, a roller reaction force is canceled to suppress an increase in side pressure or side wear between a vane and a vane slot into which the vane is inserted.

The contact can include at least one contact point, contact line, or contact area.

VANE WEARING DETECTION

A vane for use in a rotary vane pump. The vane has a length L extending between a first edge of the vane and a second edge of the vane and a width W extending perpendicular to said length, the width extending between a third edge of said vane and a fourth edge of the vane, and further comprising a channel extending through said vane and provided at a position along said length L of said vane. The channel maybe positioned away from said first and second edges such that said vane has a constant length L along its width. The width of the channel may vary in shape between first and second points along the length of the vane. The channel may have a triangular shape, a rectangular shape or a circular shape. A method for detecting the decrease in length of the vane is also described.

Gear and bearing indents to induce fluid film

A fuel pump assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a shaft for transmitting motion, a gear connected to and coaxial with the shaft with the gear having a first wear surface, a first bearing coaxial with the shaft with the first bearing being configured to support the gear and having a second wear surface positioned to interact with the first wear surface, and a plurality of indents. The indents are distributed in the first wear surface or the second wear surface and at least two of the plurality of indents are partially aligned in a radial direction.

A scroll compressor includes a scroll compression element including a movable scroll, a drive shaft configured to allow the movable scroll to rotate, a boss portion, and a sliding bearing. The boss portion is connected to a back surface of the movable scroll. The boss portion is configured to rotatably support an upper end portion of the drive shaft. The upper end of the drive shaft is configured as an eccentric shaft portion. The sliding bearing is provided between the boss portion and the eccentric shaft portion. An axially central portion of the boss portion is more rigid than a connection portion of the boss portion connected to the movable scroll. The boss portion is shaped so that the central portion projects outward.

A wear preventing member is provided between the key portion and the key recess.

Compressor, Monitoring System, and Method of Monitoring Compressor

A compressor, a monitoring system and a method of monitoring a compressor that make it possible to monitor the remaining lifetime of a semiconductor element of a motor control system while the processing load is reduced are provided. A compressor (1) includes: a motor control system (10) that controls the rotation speed of a motor (2); a compressor body (3) that compresses air by being driven by the motor (2); a pressure sensor (20) that is provided on the discharge side of the compressor body (3); and a running controller (11) that performs switching between load running and no-load running on the basis of the pressure sensed by the pressure sensor (20). A motor controller (26) of the motor control system (10) calculates a relative temperature of a semiconductor element relative to a reference temperature by using a temperature of the semiconductor element sensed by a temperature sensor (27) at the time of switching from no-load running to load running, and calculates an amount of change in a remaining lifetime of the semiconductor element corresponding to the relative temperature of the semiconductor element, whereby monitoring the remaining lifetime of the semiconductor element.

COMPRESSOR INCLUDING LASER-HARDENED BEARING SURFACES
20220099091 · 2022-03-31 ·

This disclosure is directed to compressors with hardened bearing surfaces, particularly laser-hardened bearing surfaces. Laser hardening can be used to precisely harden selected areas of the bearing surfaces of the compressor components. By hardening those selected areas, wear resistance can be improved and sliding wear can be reduced. This can result in thrust plates having different material structures configured to contact one another, such as one having a primarily pearlitic microstructure with the opposing thrust plate having a primarily martensitic microstructure. This can reduce adhesive wear by providing dissimilarity on the wearing surfaces.
