PORTABLE PUMP
A pump for non-flammable liquids has an improved mounting for the motor which facilitates the relatively quick and easy removal of the motor from the pump. The pump has a main body which is hollow and cylindrical. A motor housing is connected to the main body by threads at a first end and has a removable end cap on its second end. The electric motor is located in said motor housing and secured when the end cap is on the motor housing. An electronics housing has a battery adapter plate, a switch, and a discharge port, and encloses wires and electronics such that the motor pumps the liquid from the end cap, through the motor housing and the main body, and out of the discharge port when the switch is turned on.
JET PUMP SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH IMPROVED EFFICENCY
The present disclosure is of a jet pump system, and reverse power generation system and other desirable applications consisting of an impeller with inlet vortex vanes and outlet vortex vanes. The inlet vortex vane induces rotational movement on mass entering the impeller inlet. The outlet vortex vanes remove swirl from mass exiting the impeller outlet. Embodiments include a jet pump system involving a pulley and belt which can allow for obstruction free movement of mass. In another embodiment the impeller is connected via an electromagnetic connection. In another embodiment the impeller acts as a rim-driven generator of electrical power. In another embodiment the drive pulley is a centrifugal clutch or uses a chain sprocket or tandem jet system in series.
Hydraulic machine comprising a radial flow runner
A hydraulic machine including a runner of Francis type, a head cover and a lower cover, the runner includes a low and a high pressure side, a crown, a band, and a plurality of blades, the crown having a sealing element to seal the space between the crown and head cover against water from the high-pressure side, whereas the runner has at least one passage to drain high-pressure leakage water passing the sealing element to the low-pressure side, and the passage has an inlet aperture located in a portion of the crown which during operation is exposed to high-pressure leakage water, the passage being located within one of the blades and leads from the inlet aperture to the band, where the passage forms an opening leading to the space between the band and the lower cover.
BLOOD PUMP HOUSING COMPONENT
Blood pump assemblies and methods of manufacturing and operating blood pump assemblies are provided. The blood pump assembly includes a pump and an impeller blade rotatably coupled to the pump. The blood pump assembly also includes a pump housing component sized for passage through a body lumen and coupled to the pump. The pump housing component includes a peripheral wall extending about a rotation axis of the impeller blade. The peripheral wall includes an inner peripheral wall surface and an outer peripheral wall surface. The peripheral wall also includes one or more blood exhaust apertures. Each blood exhaust aperture in the one or more blood exhaust apertures is defined by an inner aperture edge and an outer aperture edge. Each inner aperture edge is chamfered between the inner peripheral wall surface and the outer peripheral wall surface.
PASSIVE THRUST BEARING ANGLE
An implantable blood pump includes a tube including an inner wall, and wherein during operation of the blood pump, the impeller rotates within the tube and a distance between the inner wall of the tube and the thrust bearing decreases as a speed of the impeller increases.
Catheter device
The catheter device comprises a drive shaft connected to a motor, and a rotor mounted on the drive shaft at the distal end section. The rotor has a frame structure which is formed by a screw-like boundary frame and rotor struts extending radially inwards from the boundary frame. The rotor struts are fastened to the drive shaft by their ends opposite the boundary frame. Between the boundary frame and the drive shaft extends an elastic covering. The frame structure is made of an elastic material such that, after forced compression, the rotor unfolds automatically.

Multi-chamber molten metal pump
In accordance with one aspect of the present exemplary embodiment, a molten metal pump comprising a refractory material body defining an elongated chamber is provided. The chamber is configured to receive a shaft and impeller assembly. The chamber includes an open top through which the shaft passes and a bottom inlet. The impeller is located in or adjacent the inlet. The body further defines an elongated passage adjacent to the chamber. An opening provides fluid communication between the elongated passage and the elongated chamber. The elongated passage is in fluid communication with a discharge channel configured to direct molten metal at least substantially perpendicular to an elongated axis of the elongated chamber.
FOUNTAIN CORE AND FOUNTAIN DEVICE HAVING FOUNTAIN CORE
The present disclosure relates to a fountain device including: a fountain core and a floating portion. The fountain core includes a hydraulic portion and a power supply for providing power to the hydraulic portion and is configured to pump water from a water inlet at a lower portion by means of the hydraulic portion and spraying water via a water spout at an upper portion to form a fountain. The floating portion is configured to cause the fountain device to float in the water and forms a core mounting hole for holding the fountain core when inflated with a low density fluid, so that the fountain core can form a fountain by the hydraulic portion in a state that the fountain device floats in the water.
Mold pump assembly
A molten metal pump assembly and method to fill complex molds with molten metal, such as aluminum. The pump assembly includes an elongated shaft connecting a motor to an impeller. The impeller is housed within a chamber of a base member such that rotation of the impeller draws molten metal into the chamber at an inlet and forces molten aluminum through an outlet. A first bearing is adapted to support the rotation of the impeller at a first radial edge and a second bearing adapted to support the rotation of the impeller at a second radial edge. A bypass gap is interposed between the second bearing and the second radial edge. Molten metal leaks through the bypass gap at a predetermined rate to manipulate a flow rate and a head pressure of the molten metal such that precise control of the flow rate is achieved.
