Fluid Separation System and Disk-Pack Turbine
A system and method in at least one embodiment for separating fluids including liquids and gases into subcomponents by passing the fluid through an intake chamber into an expansion chamber and then through at least a portion of a waveform pattern present between at least two rotors and/or disks. In at least one embodiment, the waveform patterns include a plurality of hyperbolic waveforms axially aligned around a horizontal center of the system.
Convectors
A convector includes a stator made up of an array of fixed, parallel, equally spaced, equally thick, thermally conductive plates attached to a relatively thick thermally conductive plate. Convectors are provided with a rotor that is made up of an array of flat, rotatable, parallel, equally spaced, equally thick discs. The discs of the rotor are placed between the plates of the stator at relatively close proximity from the walls of the stator plates. Furthermore, the discs are keyed or held in place with the help of spacers and compression nuts to a hollow or a solid shaft. A clearance aperture, circular in shape, is provided on the stator plates. The shaft is held in place at both ends by roller bearings that provide the means for the shaft to rotate. To impart rotational motion to the rotor, the shaft is attached to an external device such as a motor.
Boundary-layer pump and method of use
A device for pumping fluid such as paints, sealants, caulks, and polymers made of a rotor assembly and a pump body. The rotor assembly contains at least one laminar flow element arranged in such a manner as to conduct the fluid from inlet to outlet as the rotor spins. The rotor may vary its distance from the pump body. This arrangement provides a rotor with exceptional capacity to pump without damage to the fluid media and to measure the fluid rate at low or high rotational speed with viscosity that can vary. The device also may provide a spray nozzle or nozzles that produce a multiplicity of spray patterns.
Disk-Pack Turbine
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module. In at least one embodiment, a water system includes vortex housing having an interior wall defining a vortex chamber in fluid communication with the expansion chamber of said disk-pack turbine and inlets into the vortex chamber, and the vortex chamber having an upper section with a bowl or modified concave hyperbolic shape into which fluid is received from said inlets and a lower section with a conical or funnel shape with a steep vertical angle of change that opens into expansion chamber. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
Retrofit Attachments for Water Treatment Systems
In at least one embodiment, the invention provides a retrofit for existing water treatment systems where the retrofit includes at least one of the following: a particulate separator, a supplementary inlet, and a waveform disk-pack turbine. In a further embodiment, the invention includes a water treatment system combined with at least one of the following: a particulate separator, a supplementary inlet, and a waveform disk-pack turbine.
Levitation and distribution system and method
A system and method in at least one embodiment provides magnetic levitation to a vehicle above and/or partially about a rail or track using a flux field generator having a plurality of members having mated waveform patterns. In a further embodiment, the magnetic levitation also uses a distribution system. In a further embodiment, the plurality of members forms a disk-pack turbine. In a further embodiment, the flux field generator is not vehicle based.
Disk-pack turbine
A system and method in at least one embodiment for separating fluids including liquids and gases into subcomponents by passing the fluid through a vortex chamber into an expansion chamber and then through at least a portion of a waveform pattern present between at least two rotors and/or disks. In further embodiments, a system and method is offered for harnessing fields created by a system having rotating rotors and/or disks having waveform patterns on at least one side to produce current within a plurality of coils. In at least one embodiment, the waveform patterns include a plurality of hyperbolic waveforms axially aligned around a horizontal center of the system.
BOUNDARY LAYER TURBOMACHINE
A boundary layer turbomachine (100) can include a housing (110) defining an interior space (115) and having an inlet opening (112) and an outlet (113) opening to facilitate movement of a fluid through the housing (110). The boundary layer turbomachine (100) can also include a rotor assembly (120) disposed in the rotor chamber (117) and configured to rotate about an axis of rotation (101). The rotor assembly (120) can have a plurality of disks (121) spaced apart along the axis of rotation (101) and defining an interior opening along the axis of rotation (101). The fluid can pass through gaps between the disks (121) and the interior opening as the fluid moves through the housing (110). Corresponding rotor assembly and partition are also provided.
Water Treatment System and Method
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module. In a further embodiment, a housing is provided over at least the intake module and the vortex module and sits above the disk-pack module. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
Embedded rotary micro pump, its method of integration and motion control
A micro pumping mechanism is proposed to generate flow in micro channels of micro fluidic devices and three dimensional microprocessors cooled by the flow of coolant fluids. The proposed micro pump comprises a rotating disk inside a chamber, which overlaps with the fluidic micro channel. The rotating disk induces a shear flow across the micro channel, transporting fluid elements in the direction of the rotation of the disk. The disk can be rotated by external magnetic or electric fields as in direct drive, induction, or electrostatic motors.
