COOLANT PUMP WITH INTEGRATED CLOSED-LOOP CONTROL
20170370274 · 2017-12-28 ·

A coolant pump for an internal combustion engine (ICE) in a vehicle with a central engine control, having a pump shaft that drives an impeller for pumping a coolant. An axial piston pump operated via a wobble plate on a rear face of the impeller, conducts part of the pumped coolant away to a hydraulic circuit that extends from the axial piston pump via a proportional valve back to the pumped coolant and has a branch-off between the axial piston pump and the proportional valve as the hydraulic actuator. A regulating slide valve adjusts coolant volume flow of depending on pressure in the hydraulic circuit. A sensor detects a parameter characteristic of the coolant volume flow and outputs an actual value signal. A dedicated pump control controls the proportional valve based on the actual value signal of the sensor and a desired value signal of the central engine control.

SELF-TEST METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SUBMERSIBLE PUMP SYSTEMS
20170370369 · 2017-12-28 ·

The present invention relates to methods and systems for implementing a self-test for sump system components using two-way communications between a main controller and each of the system components to check system operation and status. The self-test system is designed to remotely or locally test the installation of field wiring, system functionality and performance of equipment located in an elevator pit, a transformer vault, a transformer moat, a confined space or any other pit/ditch/sump. The benefits of this technology are: 1) ensure proper installation, 2) exercise the system that might otherwise be dormant for years, 3) avoid the costs and risks associated with entering a confined space, and 4) create an easy to implement preventative maintenance program.

Multi-pressure integrated air pump

A high and low-pressure integrated air pump includes a single housing including an air inlet and an air outlet. A high-pressure pump is disposed within the housing and in fluid communication with the air inlet, and uses a first outlet passage to discharge to the air outlet. A low-pressure pump is also disposed within the housing and in fluid communication with the air inlet, and uses a second outlet passage to discharge to the air outlet.

MODIFIED OIL PUMP FOR USE IN NON-OIL TRANSPORT

The disclosed invention improves on self-priming centrifugal pumps. The improvements facilitate ease of maintenance by allowing the vacuum pulley belt to be changed without the need to disassemble the centrifugal pump to access the vacuum pulley belt. Additionally, issues with float valves becoming restricted leading to loss of prime conditions can be corrected with a disclosed invention.
