Mechanical coolant pump

A coolant pump includes an outlet volute comprising a pivot axis, an impeller pump, a housing, and an outlet valve arrangement. The housing comprises an outlet volute housing defining the outlet volute and comprises a volute housing wall comprising a recess, and a first outlet channel comprising a valve opening. The outlet valve arrangement is disposed in the first outlet channel and comprises a valve body which opens or closes the valve opening. The valve body comprises a circle segment body comprising a proximal surface and a maximum outside radius. The circle segment body is rotated around the pivot axis. The proximal surface is distant from the pivot axis by an offset distance which is at least of the maximum outside radius. The recess houses the circle segment body in the closed valve position. A lateral distance of the pivot axis to the volute housing wall is approximately equal to the offset distance.

CENTRIFUGAL PUMP WITH HIGH AND LOW INLET CONFIGURATIONS

A reconfigurable pump includes a housing with inlet and outlet openings. An inlet adapter is mounted on the housing and includes an inlet passage communicating with the inlet opening. The inlet adapter is removably mounted on the housing and can be removed and repositioned for reconfiguring the pump between low-inlet and high-inlet configurations. In a low-inlet configuration the inlet passage is generally aligned with an impeller rotatably mounted in the housing. A check valve comprising a flapper valve is provided in the low-inlet configuration and prevents backflow. The flapper valve is removable for configuration in a high-inlet configuration with the inlet passage located generally above the impeller level. The inlet adapter can readily be repositioned from outside the pump housing between its low-inlet anti-inlet configurations.

Three-dimensional flow-optimized control slider system with linear control behavior

A regulating slide valve apparatus having a housing which forms a duct through which a gaseous or liquid medium can flow having an inlet longitudinal portion, an outlet longitudinal portion, and an adjustable regulating element for varying the flow cross section of the duct and adjusting the throughflow rate. A seat ring element is provided in the duct, the regulating element has a first longitudinal portion which has a circular cross section with diameters that vary in the longitudinal direction, and the regulating element is adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the duct along an adjustment travel. In a closure position the regulating element lies against the seat ring element and closes the duct and, in an open position, forms an annular gap through which flow can pass, with the seat ring element. The varying diameters along the first longitudinal portion of the regulating element are configured such that the change in the cross-sectional area through which flow can pass, of the annular gap with the adjustment of the regulating element in the longitudinal direction, is such that the volume flow through the annular gap varies approximately linearly with the adjustment of the regulating element along the adjustment travel.

ACTUATION METHOD AND EFFICIENCY

A multi-stage centrifugal pump assembly allows for multiple fixed ratio pressure levels. The multiple pressure levels permit optimization of actuation loops without the need for pressure regulators, and can be used directly by the actuators.

Methods and Systems For Cooling A Pressurized Fluid With A Reduced-Pressure Fluid

Systems and methods for reducing the pressure of a first pressurized fluid, thereby reducing the temperature of the pressurized fluid, and utilization of the reduced-pressure and temperature fluid to cool a second fluid. Such an approach can enable a reduction in the size and weight of a hydraulic system, utilize waste energy in a system, and/or minimize electrical power requirements of a system, among other benefits.

Test and Monitoring System for a Pump Installation
20170058886 · 2017-03-02 ·

A test and monitoring system for a pump installation that initiates a cycle, admits liquid to the pump installation by an electrically-actuated valve, detects a predetermined event, stops admittance of the liquid to the pump installation by the electrically-actuated valve, and indicates results of the test cycle. The predetermined event may be a passage of a predetermined amount of time, an input from a liquid level sensor, or an input from a current sensor. The current sensor may be in electrical communication with a pump of the pump installation. The pump installation may be a sump pump installation.

Test and monitoring system for a sump pump installation including trend analysis of pump performance

An automated system for testing and monitoring a sump pump installation includes an electrically-actuated valve which admits liquid to the sump container in response to a valve control signal. A test control module actuates the valve to initiate a test cycle during which liquid is admitted to the sump container to cause the liquid level in the container to rise to a predetermined level, after which the pump, if functional, discharges liquid from the container until the liquid level falls to a lower level and the test cycle is terminated. The test control module includes an indicator circuit which indicates in response to completion of the test cycle whether the test was successful or unsuccessful. A processor circuit records the elapsed time of successive test cycles and the current supplied to the sump pump motor to identify trends or anomalies in the operation of the pump and provide an output signal indicative thereof.

PUMP HOUSING WITH AN INTERIOR FOR ACCOMMODATING A PUMP ROTOR

In a pump housing having an interior for accommodating a pump rotor, which may be transferred from a radially compressed state into a radially expanded state, and comprises a housing skin revolving in circumferential direction, as well as at least one reinforcement element, a stretch-resistant element revolving in circumferential direction is provided, which is stretched less than 5% in the expanded state as opposed to the force-free state in circumferential direction, and which limits any further expansion of the pump housing in radial direction.
