Method for detecting a condition of a pump assembly
10949979 · 2021-03-16 · ·

A video sequence of a pump assembly or of a pump assembly part is produced. The video sequence is evaluated by way of digital signal processing assisted by a data base. A condition of the pump assembly is determined by way of this evaluation. In particular it is determined whether the pump runs in a designated manner or it is determined whether unallowably high oscillations are ascertained in a region, wherein this would indicate a defect, for example bearing damage or an unfavorable speed.

DUAL PUMP SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COOLING AN ENGINE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

The present disclosure provides an engine cooling system for controlling the temperature of an engine of a motor vehicle. The system includes an engine cooling circuit for circulating a coolant to transfer heat from the engine to an airflow. An electric water pump is configured to circulate the coolant through the circuit at a maximum electric pump flow rate, and a mechanical water pump is configured to circulate the coolant through the circuit at a maximum mechanical pump flow rate that is higher than the maximum electric pump flow rate. The circuit further includes a selector valve configured to fluidly connect one of the electric water pump and the mechanical water pump to the engine. An engine control module generates a valve signal for actuating the selector valve to fluidly connect one of the electric water pump and the mechanical water pump to the engine.

Automatic pumping system commissioning

A technique facilitates automatic commissioning operations on pumping systems, e.g. electric submersible pumping systems. The automatic commissioning technique employs closed-loop monitoring and control processes which may include monitoring of pump shaft direction and speed measurements. In many applications, the technique reduces the time and manual effort otherwise involved in commissioning pumping systems in well completions. Embodiments also may be employed in automated decision-making related to commissioning and in determining operational settings based on sensed environmental and/or well performance conditions.

Management and Control Method of a Pressurization System

A management and control method for at least one operation parameter of a pressurization system operated by an electric motor, the method comprising the steps of: detection of an operating pressure value at a delivery duct of the pressurization system, by means of a single pressure sensor; estimation of a hydraulic flow rate and a hydraulic head by means of an algorithm which is implemented in a control software based on the operating pressure value detected by means of the single pressure sensor; estimation of a motor rotation speed of the pressurization system based on the operating pressure value and on the number of blades of the impeller of said pressurization system as a result of said estimation; and processing of an on/off signal of the pressurization system. Also disclosed is a pressurization system, comprising a pressure value and a control electronic unit adapted to perform said method.

Electric pump

An electric pump includes: a motor that drives a pump; and a control unit to which an input signal for driving the motor is input from an external device, which outputs a drive signal based on the input signal, and which outputs a pulse signal indicating a rotation state of the motor to the external device, in which the control unit is configured to change both of a frequency and a duty ratio of the pulse signal so as to be capable of discriminating whether the motor is in a drive state or a stop state and between a plurality of states of the motor in the stop state.

A detector detects whether or not a first line induced voltage and a second line induced voltage match each other, the first line induced voltage being a potential difference of a first phase potential of phase potentials relative to a reference potential, and the second line induced voltage being a potential difference of a second phase potential of the phase potentials other than the first phase potential relative to the reference potential. The phase potentials is outputted by the armature due to an induced electromotive force. The reference potential is any one of a minimum phase and a maximum phase. A rotation-position setting unit sets, to a predetermined value, an estimation value of a rotation position of the motor 2 at a point in time when the first line induced voltage and the second line induced voltage match each other.
